A New Chapter for High Maintenance & Heart Salon

The time has finally come to "let the cat out of the bag!" After 15 beautiful years in Gladstone, I am thrilled to announce that as of July 1st, High Maintenance Hair Salon will fully transition to Heart Salon.
I am passing the torch of ownership to a very special stylist who has been a loyal part of my team for 10 years: Mr. Matt Bishop.

The Move & The Transition
As many of you know, after 23 years in the Gladstone area, I am packing up and building a new home further north. While the salon is currently undergoing a redesign to reflect its new identity as Heart Salon, we are still open for service. After July 1st, I will continue to take appointments and work at my booth under the new ownership.
This isn't a "goodbye" to my craft! Once my new home is complete, I will be opening a private, single-chair salon at our commercial building located at my new residence. The opening date for that location is still to be determined, but I look forward to sharing it with you when the time comes.

As I place this bookmark in my journey as a salon owner, I have a few vital people to thank:

* To Julie Deckman Deen : You have been with me since Day 1. Your passion and care for your clients are undeniable; a stylist as loyal and accountable as you is more than I could ever have asked for. Thank you for making High Maintenance your home.

* To Johnna Hoyt : Thank you for always staying by my side. Your sweet soul and camaraderie are exactly what every salon needs.
* To Matt Bishop : Ten years ago, you came into the salon and truly shook things up! Your wild humor and eclectic style have brought so much joy to our salon days. Your passion for this industry and your art will take you far—it has been a pleasure to witness your journey.

* Honorable Mentions: To Tressa Nalle and Lisa Carpenter-Capozzi , Thank You for the inspiring years you gave to this shop. Your style and grace will never be forgotten.

They say work doesn’t feel like work when you’re having fun, and I have all of you to thank for years of laughs and memories.

Finally, a massive thank you to my clients and all the clients of High Maintenance. Your loyalty over these last 15 years has made this dream possible. I am so grateful for your support and look forward to seeing you in the chair during this transition!

Another big Thank You to my kids, Makenzie Thomas , Monona and Madison, Thank You for being my little cheerleaders and spending so many of your days at the salon when Mommy didn't have a baby sitter. It's been fun watching your play salon and grow up iny shop. 💖
