Watching the Lindsay Clancy trial has brought me back to this version of myself 👇🏼

My story is not Lindsay’s story, thankfully...and I'm not speculating on the outcome of that case here, because that's for the jury to decide. But I do know what it feels like to be postpartum, sleep deprived, isolated and having thoughts that scare you… while everyone around you thinks you’re doing great.

I needed help, but I barely had the capacity to recognize it, let alone advocate for myself. Why are women expected to fall apart enough for someone to finally listen? We need better support. Better conversations. Better care.

For mothers. For families. For our daughters.

& hear jt from me now...if my daughter struggles in a similar way that I did someday....you will find me moving in to her house for however long it takes for her to feel better.

I see women in my practice daily that are overlooked by doctors & our healthcare system. They're told they just have to deal with their symptoms or even that those feelings are just stress. So, this lack of treatment goes far beyond the postpartum period and into menopause.
