Idc what anyone says, powder brows will never die. This might age poorly but for now I’m standing 10 toes dahn. I love a good powder brow. 😩

When done CORRECTLY, they look damn good and shouldn’t need to be touched for a couple years+ at a time. Don’t let the blocky, gray, overly saturated brows you see in the wild deter you. Those brows are in the past 👌🏻

These will heal soft & powdery & gorgeous.

Starting a new series here because I hear the wildest, funniest s**z and I feel the need to share.

Esthetician Spotlight: Sieanna ✨

Say hellooo to Sieanna, our second esthetician at The 412 Wax Bar. She’s been licensed for 2 years and has been with us for 1. Her fav services to do are anything brow or lash related. She’s our resident Korean lash lift queen, so def be sure to book one with her at least once. A service she’d like to do more of is lash extensions with some color or fun texture - think anime lashes, spiky goodness.

Sieanna is always taking new classes and continuing her education for services, and our girl is proud of that (and so am I 🥹). This industry is ever-growing so you can always keep learning.

For the grand finale I leave you with this - her go to drink at the moment is an iced vanilla berry redbull. Jot that down.

Esthetician Spotlight: Gianna 🐭

Gianna has been gracing our presence here at The 412 Wax Bar for over a year, so let’s learn a smidgen about milady:

Her favorite service to do is a Brazilian wax - classic, we love her. She’d love to do more brow laminations, so BOOK WITH HER DAMMIT. Let her slay your brows. Just do it. Anyway, moving on…. She’s been a licensed esthetician for 3 years and her biggest accomplishment so far has been doing her fav artist’s makeup for her concert (s/o ). If you’re ever running late, the least you can do is get the girl a Diet Coke, her drink of choice. When she isn’t slangin wax on vulvas, she’s chillin with her cat Bulleit or taming the nearest squirrel, raccoon or possum.

Now that we know her, book her. She’s a gem 💎

If you want your brows touched up but they aren’t at LEAST 40% faded, I won’t touch them with a 30 foot pole. If it’s been years and your brows are still heavily saturated, saline removal or laser removal are mandatory.

ROOOOOOTS. It’s what we like to see. No broken hairs round here, partners.

Broken hairs = not a clean wax. That means INGROWN HAIR CITY. When hairs are broken at the skin’s surface they can end up growing under the skin, causing ingrowns. If you feel a ton of prickliness immediately after your wax and have a lot of hair growing back within a week, chances are your waxer broke hair.

This isn’t always your waxer’s fault - it can definitely be the wax quality or the technique, but it can also be due to you not taking care of your skin between waxes. Moisturizing and exfoliating are sooo important. 😽
