Social media has a funny way of making everyoneās life look like sunshine and rainbows.
So, in honor of Dolly, hereās a little of my rain lately:
Moved to Texas and opened my own little aesthetics business. Found out another injector was opening right down the street.
Decided I was going to get serious about my fitness. Immediately threw my back out.
Have injected Radiesse for years. Somehow managed to sq**rt about $800 worth across the room and all over my patient. š
Got so wrapped up in work one afternoon that I completely forgot I was supposed to pick my kids up from the bus stop. Mother of the year.
Decided I needed to unplug from social media and email for a minute. Missed a business opportunity sitting in my inbox.
Started feeling pretty good about growing my business. Found out someone nearby is injecting out of her house for prices I couldnāt compete with unless I also stopped paying rent, insurance, medical oversight and all the other very unsexy parts of running a legitimate business.
And just when I thought I was finding my footing againā¦ another med spa opened half a mile away.
So, yeah.
Some days I feel like Iām absolutely crushing it.

If TikTok convinced you to buy a serum at 11:47pm from a girl with perfect lightingā¦ I have a question. š
Why are we so hesitant to try medical-grade skincare?
Iām not saying everything at Ulta, Sephora or the drugstore is bad. Not even close.
