Mental health literacy is more than knowing the names of diagnoses 🧠🤍
It’s understanding how mental health can affect the way we think, feel, behave, connect with others, and move through everyday life.
It can mean recognizing that:
🌱 Mental health exists on a spectrum.
🌱 Struggling doesn’t always look the same from person to person.
🌱 Mental health concerns are not character flaws.
🌱 Asking for help is a form of self-awareness, not failure.
🌱 You don’t have to have a diagnosis to deserve support.
🌱 Knowing when and where to seek help is an important part of taking care of yourself.
Mental health literacy also gives us better language.
Instead of “They’re just being dramatic,” we can ask, “I wonder what they’re experiencing.”
Instead of “Just get over it,” we can ask, “What support might help?”
The more we understand mental health, the better equipped we are to recognize concerns, challenge stigma, support others, and take care of ourselves.
Understanding mental health is part of caring for mental health 🤍

In the midst of busy schedules, responsibilities, and everything happening around us, it can be easy to move through the day without checking in with ourselves.
Take a moment to pause.
Ask yourself:
• What am I feeling right now?
• What do I need in this moment?
• What is within my control?
• What can help me feel more grounded?
Self-awareness begins with noticing. Noticing our thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and patterns can help us better understand what we need and how we can respond with intention.
Grounding does not mean making difficult feelings disappear. Sometimes, it simply means reconnecting with the present moment and giving yourself space to pause before moving forward.
Today, take a moment to check in with yourself. You may learn something important 🌿

Before you can change a pattern, you have to notice it.
Before you can communicate a need, you have to recognize what you need.
Before you can respond differently, you have to understand what is happening inside of you.
Self-awareness isn’t constantly analyzing everything you do or finding something wrong with yourself. It’s being curious about yourself.
🔎 What situations tend to bring out strong emotions in you?
🔎 What thoughts show up when you’re overwhelmed?
🔎 What do you tend to avoid?
🔎 What patterns keep showing up in your relationships?
🔎 What do you notice about yourself without immediately judging it?
You do not have to change everything that you discover. Sometimes, the first step is being able to say, “Oh, I do that when I’m feeling _______.”
That moment of awareness creates space. And in that space, change can truly begin.
This week, notice what you’re feeling before you judge what you’re doing. Understand the connection before you change the response.

⭐️ We often mourn the branches that fall, focusing on the separation and what was lost.
🌟 But a fallen branch is not without purpose. Even in its decay, it returns something to the soil—making room, nourishing roots, and sustaining what remains.
Sometimes separation isn’t rejection. Sometimes it’s preservation. Even what falls can still give life.

Therapy is a place to understand yourself before, during, and after a breaking point.
It can help you understand why certain situations affect you so deeply.
It can help you recognize patterns you’ve repeated without understanding why.
It can give you space to process experiences you’ve spent years moving past without actually processing.
It can help you learn how to communicate your needs, establish boundaries, regulate difficult emotions, navigate relationships, and make decisions that align with your values.
There doesn’t have to be one specific thing going “wrong” before you’re allowed to ask for support. You are allowed to want more self-awareness. You are allowed to want healthier relationships. You are allowed to want to understand yourself better.
Therapy is not about fixing a broken person.
It’s about creating a space to better understand yourself, your experiences, and the life you’re trying to build.

Sometimes our minds try to protect us by preparing for every possible outcome.
Planning can be helpful. Awareness can be helpful. Thinking ahead can be helpful.
But there is a difference between preparing yourself and living in fear.
Preparation says: “I can handle what comes.”
Fear says: “I have to control everything before I can move forward.”
You can be prepared without letting fear make every decision.

Boundaries can feel uncomfortable, especially if you learned that saying “yes” was the way to keep peace, show love, or avoid disappointing others.
Healthy boundaries are not about shutting people out - they are about creating relationships where honesty, respect, and care can exist.
Boundaries allow us to:
❤️🩹 Protect our energy without guilt
💬 Communicate our needs with compassion
🌿 Build relationships rooted in mutual respect
✨ Show up for others without abandoning ourselves
Learning to set boundaries is not a sign that you care less. It is a sign that you’re learning to care in a healthier way.
This week, consider asking yourself:
✨ Where am I feeling drained?
✨ What need have I been afraid to communicate?

Recovery doesn’t always look like a dramatic transformation.
Sometimes, recovery looks like getting out of bed when you couldn’t the day before.
Sometimes, it looks like reaching out instead of isolating.
Sometimes, it looks like starting over.
Recovery isn’t a straight line. Growth doesn’t erase hard days, difficult emotions, setbacks, or reminders of what you’ve been through.
Progress can be quiet. It can happen in the way you speak to yourself, the choices you make, the relationships you build, the boundaries you maintain, and the support you allow yourself to receive.
You don’t have to be completely “healed” to recognize that you’ve come a long way.
Take some time to ask yourself:
🌱 What is something I handle differently now than I did a year ago? A month ago? A week ago?
