As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, I’m reminded that the Fourth of July is about so much more than politics or who occupies the White House.
Today, I choose gratitude.
To every man and woman who has worn the uniform… thank you. To the families who spent birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and years apart from the people they love… thank you. To those who made the ultimate sacrifice so we could enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted… we remember you today.
Freedom has never been free.
Whether you’re watching fireworks, gathering around a BBQ, traveling with family, or simply taking in the beauty of this country, I hope we can all pause for a moment to appreciate the countless sacrifices that made these moments possible.
