Hi fraaands!!

I have been 𝙗𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 MIA lately. Life can be and has been challenging lately. Being a mom is hard. Being a professional is hard.

Balancing all the things that come with . . . all the things. . . Is 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙.

I’ve been handling those challenges by just kind of holing up in my own little bubble. I’ve definitely needed the break, but lately I’ve been missing doing some of the things that make me feel good. Like talking about makeup, and motherhood, and whatever other things that come up that I want to talk about 😝

As I looked at the unopened bags of collagen, hydrate boost, and BeFit protein on top of my fridge, and thought about how at one one point I was so excited about them, and genuinely saw and felt benefits from them, I started to evaluate why I hadn’t been using any of it. . . Why have I just stopped really giving a s**t about any of it??

I talk a lot about being a mom how how motherhood has changed me and challenged me in so many ways. One of the places I struggle is remembering to take care of myself. Like, REALLY take care of myself. I mean, don’t freak out. I shower and brush my teeth, but there are days like today, that I realized at 6pm that I’ve never eaten anything. My kids weren’t even with me all day, so, like, wtf? I want to start working out, so I go to one Barre class and am so disappointed with not being perfect that I just stop. I stop taking all my super easy to take wellness products because it’s also easy to just . . . not.

The mental toll of motherhood is something I never accounted for; that my children and their needs, and my constant anxiety that I am meeting their needs the way they need me to, would fill me to the brim. Lately I’ve been very full.

It’s a strange place to be overwhelmingly happy with things happening in my life and also be so overwhelmed with overwhelm that I just freeze lol.

So, I decided to drink the damn hydrate boost and take a picture of myself doing it because that’s a different way to meet the challenge that I’m trying to overcome. Writing this long ass vlog post is helping too. 😉😜
