For most of you, Monday will be a Holiday. As for me, I will be working. You see, there is a ministry out here that is extremely close to someone I love, Jesus of course, but a woman named Summer Smith. Summer is a part of Cowboys and Outlaws Prison Ministry in Granbury. She’s out there being the hands and feet of Jesus. It is a prison ministry and a homeless ministry. ALL of the money to be made in the salon on Monday the 7th will go to this ministry. You can also bring in to the salon new backpacks, blankets, socks etc to donate as well. We will be doing this once a month. So let’s get the books full for Monday guys and be a part of something that changes the lives of people for eternity!! (817)495-8998

Truth!! 💜 Rest in Paradise Dolly🦋

Today the Lord humbled me. I had one of my customers reach out to me this morning because her daughter in law had gone to another salon to get her hair done yesterday and the results were not good. The mother in law suggested that I needed to be called because she knew I could fix it. I was sent pictures of the haircut and color that was done. Not gonna lie, it was bad. I told her to come in. As I was looking at her hair in person I was extremely upset. I thought “How? How do you let someone leave like this?” Needless to say, God blessed my hands for a reason. I thank Him for it, because without the blessing on my hands I would not have been able to pull off making this look so good. She’s coming back in for a color as she had chemical burns from her experience yesterday, but we will get her all fixed up. Fast forward to tonight and I’m just griping about how this young lady’s hair looked to Brad and that I should call up there and say something. I would not have been “customer service voice” nice about it. But God….. ohhhh how He will meet you right where you’re at. Then I flashed back to first years of Rhonda being a stylist…still wet behind the ears Rhonda… still messing up my haircuts one after another Rhonda. I’ve had some “happy accidents” (thank you Bob Ross) in my years of being a stylist. I’m very grateful to the ones who mentored me and helped shape me into the stylist I am today. So I think I will at the least reach out to the stylist who did her hair and offer for her to come shadow me in whatever spare time she can. I’m thinking she’s not getting a good mentor where she’s at, and that my friends is unacceptable. Especially when I have to fix it lol (mind you, I LOVE a challenge).
