Chip and I missed Jonah’s Easter (because of pups) but, of course, the kids made it! I think, minus 2020, this is the 20th year spent at Tony and Elva’s for Easter!
He is not here; He has risen! ♥️🙏🏼

School starts next week! Can you believe it! There’s only a couple appts left in the salon before next Wednesday! Grab one before they are gone!

I don’t use olaplex, I use a different bond protector and foil (which I buy from Sam’s) is about $12 now. But besides that— this is a very accurate depiction of what’s happening in our industry. Electricity bills are up, rental increases are happening….. etc. it’s all around us! I wish increasing service costs meant more money in my/our pockets but it simply does not. I am, however, extremely blessed by my many loyal clients that have generously taken great care of me through the years! I love you guys dearly!! This career has been so good to me. I am forever thankful.

This is the cost of just the chemicals to do a typical service! Sure, I obviously don’t use that entire bottle of Olaplex on 1 client, but you get the picture! These products do not last very long before having to restock.

And these are JUST the chemicals!

Just to step foot in the salon everyday is an instant $50 per day
Then you have my $400ish website
My $45 booking app
A $50 box of foil
$200 bottle of the second part of your Olaplex treatment.
$1,000 shears
Shampoo, conditioner, styling products, towels, cleaning products, combs, brushes, bowels, credit card processing fees, TAXES, the list could go on & on!

The price of supplies in this industry has gone up drastically in the past year. & my most recent price increase doesn’t match the inflation of the cost of product to work let alone the inflation of everything else outside of the salon. Which means even though my prices went up, my take home hasn’t.

So please, be patient with your service providers who are raising their prices. No one is trying to price gouge & line their pockets. We’re simply just trying to stay in business.

Lumishine dd cream 6n roots, lowlight very few pieces with dd cream 1bs, yep, level 1!!

🤍❤️🤍 Warm roots, ends. using only products. Blonde life lightener 20vol, 7nw/6ng/8nrg 5vol,

using all products from start to finish. 20 volume blondlife process 1/2 inch from scalp through mid shafts for 30 minutes- went back hit the roots and ends for roughly 15 more minutes. Joico’s cream lightener is the absolute most gentle for on the scalp bleaching!! I won’t use anything different! ❤️❤️❤️Rinsed and toned using a balance of joico liquid demi 10nw 9sb 10v equal parts.
