Kerlyn Serenity Studio
Empowering wellness through therapeutic touch and souund therapy. As a VAT, I offer vibrational sound therapy for holistic healing and relaxation. Welcome!
Expertise in oncology and athletic massage, I integrate advanced techniques to restore balance and vitality. My name is Kerri, and I am passionate about helping others achieve wellness and balance in their lives. With seven years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, I have dedicated my career to empowering clients and students alike through hands-on care and education. I graduated from the Flint School of Therapeutic Massage in 2018 and immediately entered the instructor training program, where I have been a proud educator ever since. Teaching future massage therapists has been a rewarding journey that allows me to share my knowledge and help shape the next generation of healing professionals. Over the years, I have pursued additional training to expand my skills and better serve my clients. I specialize in Oncology Massage, offering compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of individuals undergoing cancer treatment. I am also a certified Vibroacoustic Technician, combining sound therapy and massage to promote relaxation and healing. As a Human Movement Specialist, I focus on working with athletes aged 12 and older, helping them improve performance, prevent injuries, and recover effectively. My approach integrates knowledge of biomechanics and therapeutic techniques to meet the specific needs of active individuals. Beyond massage therapy, I am a certified CPR instructor and teach the Michigan-required Human Trafficking Classes for all licensed health professionals. These roles allow me to contribute to the safety and education of our community in meaningful ways. Whether you are seeking relief from stress, managing a health condition, or looking to enhance your athletic performance, I am here to support you with personalized care. I look forward to connecting with you and being part of your wellness journey.

🐾 Why is a cat’s purr sometimes called a “healing frequency”?
Cats produce gentle, low-frequency vibrations when they purr - often within ranges that have also been studied for their potential effects on the body. While your cat cannot replace medical care, there is something undeniably comforting about feeling that soft rumble while they rest against you.
Perhaps they know when we need a little extra calm. 💜
Vibroacoustic Therapy uses a similar connection between sound and vibration. Instead of simply hearing the music, you feel gentle vibrations throughout your body - creating an immersive experience that can encourage deep relaxation, quiet a busy mind, and help you settle into stillness.
Come experience sound in an entirely different way at Kerlyn Serenity Studio.

🐾 Happy National Dog Day from Kerlyn Serenity Studio! 💜
Of course, we couldn’t let today go by without celebrating our favorite four-legged member of the Serenity family — Thea Jean! 🐶
And since she brought her sister Ari along for the photo, we have to give her a big National Dog Day HI, ARI! 👋🐾💜
Whether Thea is greeting people, supervising the studio, keeping me company between sessions, or patiently watching Dog TV while I work, she brings her own special kind of calm and happiness into this space.
She may not be on the official service menu, but I’m pretty sure Thea Therapy is one of the most popular things we offer. 😂💜
Today we’re celebrating all the dogs who make our lives a little happier, a little calmer, and a whole lot more covered in fur.
🐾 Happy National Dog Day!
Drop a picture of your four-legged family member in the comments — Thea & Ari would love to see them! 💚💜
A little reminder from Thea: life doesn’t always have to be so serious. 💦🐾
Jump in. Make a splash. Get a little messy. Enjoy what’s right in front of you—and don’t worry about who’s watching.
Life moves quickly. Take the time to actually live it. 💜

✨ Sometimes the body needs more than muscle work—it needs a chance to reset.
A therapeutic massage isn’t always about chasing one sore spot. It’s about listening to what your body needs in that moment.
Every session is different because every body is different. Your treatment may include focused work to release tight muscles, soften adhesions, improve mobility, or simply give your nervous system the opportunity to slow down and reset.
When your body feels safe, it can begin to let go. That’s when many people leave feeling calmer, lighter, more balanced, and deeply restored.
That quiet transformation is why I love what I do.
If your body has been asking you to slow down, maybe it’s time to listen. 💚

Is your massage therapist licensed??
This matters!
Their education and skill and training matters!
Your health and safety matters!!
Certified” is -NOT the same as LICENSED.
Licensed massage therapists are educated by state licensed, approved, school programs, trained, regulated, and held to professional standards for your protection. LMT must complete a lengthy program and learn anatomy and physiology and pathology, as well be skilled and practice a variety of massage techniques and know how to address and relieve pain and restrictions in the body.
They are bound by legal and professional code of ethics.
And must complete continuing education courses to renew their license.
This whole process cost money.
And they must carry professional liability insurance.
Consider this: You wouldn’t take your car to a person that claims to be a mechanic that does not have the education and knowledge to actually fix your car property- would you? Would you go to a person claiming to know medicine - that didn’t go to school to be a doctor?
Beware!!
Key wording to watch for - body work, acupressure, stretch specialist- these are descriptions often used to get around the legal licensing regulations.
