PLOT TWIST! Well, I didn’t see this one coming. I didn’t plan for this. This wasn’t supposed to be my send off. But.. 🤷🏻‍♀️
🖤
I’m sure you have heard that our Governor is allowing personal care services to re-open May 1st with new guidelines.
🖤
However, I will remain closed. My original last day was scheduled for May 18th. And while, I have been wanting to work and uphold my originally scheduled final appointments (just as much as you all may want/need your hair done), right now I need to be home taking care of my family.
🖤
Upon request, I can text you our color formulation or any notes on your haircut to help with your transition to your next stylist.
🖤
Thank you for understanding. I am deeply saddened and frustrated that I won’t have one more appointment with you all to help life feel a little more normal right now.
🖤
Feel free to call or text me with any questions.
🌱 Stay Well,
❤️ Chelsea

It’s official. All salons are now closed in ND starting tonight at midnight. They didn’t announce an end date at this time. 💇‍♀️
I know how frustrating this can be. The roots. The way too long hair. I’d love to know, how I can help you from my home? Comment with any requests!

I think I’m just like everyone else at this time. I don’t know what to do or think. I’m just doing my best not to panic and take everything one day at a time. 💚
As we learn more about how this virus is spread, it’s clear that I am unable to properly follow the safety guidelines while being in such close contact and proximity to my clients.
🖤
At this time, I feel it is my responsibility to my family and our community to slow down the spread of this virus through social distancing. I will be taking a break from work until further notice. I will be contacting scheduled clients as your appointment approaches. Taking it one day at a time.
💚
I’m already blown away by the amount of love and support from our community to help care for each other during this season of uncertainty and trials. And while I am a small business owner who is unable to operate, I’m trusting it will all work out, and grateful for your understanding.
🌱Stay Well.

Official BIG News + My Response

I intended to wait to post until I could tell each client in person, but with the effecting more then we are able to comprehend at this time, I wanted to give everyone a heads up. .
💇 My LAST DAY in the salon is May 19th. I will be hanging up my shears to focus on my family and the health of my body. I am so grateful for the love and support of my husband, Michael. His hard work and dedication to our family allows me to make this choice. .
I am so grateful that I’ve been able to be back at the salon serving you all for the last year and a half. I have enjoyed every conversation and being a small part of your lives. I know how good I have had it and feel blessed to have worked behind the chair for 15 years! (Man that makes me sound old 🤪) .
My 2ND announcement is about the . I will be following our government guidelines as they are put into place. While I am not concerned directly for my own health, I am for yours and our community. I feel it is our responsibility to give our health care system it’s best chance for success. I will be taking things day by day and contacting any appointments that would be effected if I should need to close for a time. And will do my best to try and accommodate any cancelled appointments. .
Stay well 🌱 and Thank You All!

I spent Small Business Saturday doing my holiday card! 🎄😘

I am incredibly blessed that I can be myself in my work. I never thought when I started doing hair 15 years ago that I’d be here. Making these weird holiday cards every year off of a crazy idea I had back in 2013. I never thought I’d run my own business. I never dreamed I would know how to do any of this! From design, marketing, and (omg) quickbooks!

I’m so very grateful for all the clients who took that first chance and gave me a try, and keep coming back. I am hopeful that I am able to deliver a good service to you all. By choosing me as your stylist, not only are you supporting a small small business, but you’re supporting my quirky ideas.

Hope you enjoy!

These hands...
I have cut and colored hundreds of different heads of hair.
I have used them to create since birth.
I love my hands.
I am so grateful for my hands.
Because I love my hands,
I will no longer be offering hand massages with appointments.
Because these hands aren’t working they way they used to.
These hands are starting to speak up.
They are tired and aching at the end of the day.
I want a creative future that includes using my hands.
So I’m giving these ladies some rest.
Thanks for understanding.
💚

My favorite came in today to blend away some grays and add a little more 1970s to her vibe. She’s such a gem 💎
