Fall is my FAVORITE season… but can someone explain how we’re already talking about holiday hair?! 😂🍂🎄

I sat down, looked at my calendar, did the math…
9 weeks until Thanksgiving.
14 weeks until Christmas.
And only SEVEN DAYS with after-5pm availability left before Christmas. 😳

First — THANK YOU! So many of you have already prebooked and planned ahead, and I’m incredibly grateful.

But if you haven’t yet… this is your not-so-subtle sign.

The holidays are stressful enough. Gifts, parties, travel, family, approximately 47 things you forgot you volunteered for… your hair doesn’t need to be one of them.

14 weeks sounds like plenty of time.
My calendar strongly disagrees. 👀

Snag your holiday appointments online before 7 becomes 6… then 5…

At this point, I’m not entirely sure what day it is, what year it is, or how I manage to fit so much into seven days… but here we are. Crash-out days not pictured. 🤣

Here’s a tiny glimpse into life lately:
🏁 A night at the races with my dad.
💍 Worked my other job helping make someone’s wedding dreams come true — and even had to step in to do some hair! Because apparently I’m never really off duty. 😂
🤍 Three days behind the chair shown here… although there are days missing AND heads missing because we’d need approximately 37 pics otherwise.
🥹 And randomly ran into an old hair school friend while picking up product, which absolutely made my day.

Basically, I’ve learned how to fit approximately 14 days of life into one week.
And somewhere in the middle of all the running around, I realized something kinda crazy…

Two years in Grand Forks.
Almost two years of Elivon.

A whole lot of hair, weddings, new faces, old friends, family moments, plot twists and figuring-it-out-as-I-go.

Turns out, Grand Forks is starting to feel a whole lot like home. 🤍

And I’m pretty dang grateful for the life I’m building here.

Now tell me — which version of me did you NOT know existed? 😂 The hairstylist, banquet captain, race-going daughter… or the woman who apparently thinks she can fit 14 days into one week?

Sometimes the best way to make your hair look thicker… is to let some of the length go.

One of my favorite nurses from The DRIPBaR ® Grand Forks was finally ready for a BIG change. 🤍

After dealing with ongoing hair fall that just isn’t slowing down, and the longer her hair became, the thinner those ends were beginning to feel.

So instead of hanging onto length simply for the sake of having long hair, we chopped it!

We brought her length up to where her density was stronger, creating a fuller, thicker-looking shape — then added fresh, dimensional color to give the hair even more movement and visual fullness.

And can we talk about how GOOD this length is on her?! 😍

Hair loss can make us want to hold onto every single inch we have, but sometimes letting go of those wispy ends is exactly what makes the hair you do have look healthier, thicker and more intentional.

That smile in the last photo… hello confidence 🤍

If your hair has been feeling thinner lately, would you be brave enough to make the chop — or are you holding onto every last inch? 👇

Back to School is looking different for this beauty this year - back to the classroom in a whole new way with a whole new look 👀

Bobs + Back to School = Perfection 🤩

Grey blending isn’t one look. And “going grey” doesn’t have to mean simply growing it out. 🤍

In fact, these three women are perfect examples of why I love working with grey hair so much.

One wanted to embrace her grey while eliminating the unwanted yellow (and other colors 😉) and creating a softer, more intentional blend.

One was ready to feel more confident with her hair pulled back — a transition that meant working with the beautiful silver she’s worked so long to grow out.

And one isn’t ready to be fully grey at all. She simply wants to soften the contrast, blend the sparkle, and get away from that obvious grow-out line.

Three completely different heads of hair.
Three different goals.
Three different approaches.
Three different maintenance plans.

Because good grey blending isn’t about following a formula.

It’s looking at your natural grey pattern, percentage of grey, existing color, hair health, maintenance goals, and how YOU actually want to feel when you look in the mirror.

Sometimes that means adding depth.
Sometimes it means removing old artificial color.
Sometimes it means strategically blending your natural silver.
And sometimes the best thing I can do is leave those beautiful greys alone and build the color around them.

That’s the part of grey blending and grey transitions that I love most — creating a plan that allows your natural hair to become part of the color instead of something we’re constantly trying to hide.

And apparently the word is getting out… 🥹

“If you need your hair gray blended, she is the expert!”

Grand Forks, you have no idea how much it means to me to be becoming known for this work. 🤍

So if you’ve been searching for a grey blending specialist in Grand Forks, ND because you’re tired of chasing roots, considering transitioning to your natural grey, or you simply have NO idea what your options are…

You don’t have to know the answer before you sit in my chair.

That’s what the consultation is for.

Tell me where you are now, how much maintenance you’re willing to do, and where you’d eventually like to be.

I’ll help you figure out the path between the two. 🤍

You don’t always need a full color overhaul to fall back in love with your hair.

This guest had been growing out old blonde, but the harsh grow-out line and unwanted natural brassiness left her feeling stuck somewhere between “before” and “after.”

The goal wasn’t to become blonder.
It wasn’t to cover everything up.

It was simply to create a softer, more natural transition that looked intentional.

In about an hour, we:
✨ softened the grow-out line
✨ neutralized the brass
✨ blended everything together for a lower-maintenance finish

The result? Hair that looks healthier, more expensive, and most importantly… feels like her again.

That’s one of my favorite parts of what I do.

Not every appointment has to be a six-hour transformation.
Sometimes the smallest adjustments make the biggest difference.

Sometimes it isn’t just hair you’re cutting. 🤍✂️

I’ve lost count of how many times someone has sat in my chair and said,

“I just need it gone.”

Not because they hated their hair…
but because they were ready to leave something else behind.

A season.
A version of themselves.
A relationship.
The weight of months—or even years—of carrying more than they should have.

Does cutting your hair magically change your life?

No.

But for many people, cutting their hair marks the beginning of a new chapter.

It’s a way of saying,
“I’m ready to move forward.”

There’s something incredibly freeing about watching damaged ends hit the floor while feeling like you’re leaving a little of that emotional weight behind, too.

Maybe it’s not the hair itself that changes us.

Maybe it’s the decision to choose ourselves again.

This wasn’t just a haircut.

It was a fresh start. 🤍

Have you ever walked out of a salon feeling lighter than when you walked in?

I know it’s hard to believe summer is almost over… especially while we’re in what feels like the longest heat wave ever. 🥵☀️

But am I the only one who feels like summer absolutely flew by? 🥹

One minute it was Memorial Day…
Now we’re talking about back-to-school shopping, schedules, and (dare I say it?) fall. 🍂

Looking back through my camera roll reminded me that the best parts of summer weren’t the perfectly planned moments—they were the people.

Family reunions.
Laughing with friends.
Little adventures.
Warm evenings on patios.
The random moments that somehow become our favorite memories.

These are a few of mine. 🤍

📸 Now I want to see yours!
Share your favorite summer photo or memory in the comments. I’d genuinely love to see what made your summer special.

And while we’re talking about the changing seasons…

🍁 Fall is my favorite season behind the chair, and back-to-school always fills my calendar quickly. If your hair has had its fair share of sunshine, swimming, and summer fun, now is the perfect time to start thinking about your fall refresh.

👇 Your turn! Show me your favorite summer memory.
