A dark, spicy scent now available at Whatever Floats Your Boat in Paw Paw!

I had the wonderful opportunity to make soap with the 5th grade classes at the Mattawan LES for their STEAM Day! It was such a blast chatting and answering all of their questions!

Here's just a sneak peek of the cubed up bricks we made that will get sent back to the school when they're cured. That way the 5th graders can enjoy what they helped make!

Our Dark Forest Hand Cream, from the gift set, was so popular over the Holidays that we've made large tins available!

Bushel and a Peck is now stocked up on those as well as a restock of the Sea Breeze Goats Milk soaps that disappeared over night. Stop by and give them a try!

Our space at Whatever Floats Your Boat looks a little different in the New Year! We have an expanded area with more scents and items available including our Shampoo Bars and Bubble Baths!

I'd like to introduce you all to Midnight Starshine who was a complete surprise a couple weeks ago! 🫣 🎊

She arrived as we were putting all the animals to bed and had quite the struggle to join the world! We are eternally grateful she did start to make her entrance when she did because we were able to step in and help Cha Cha (her Mama). ❤️

Midnight was stuck trying to come out and so we worked with Cha Cha for an hour to get Midnight out and then a couple more hours were spent with them making sure everyone would make it through the night. Unsurprisingly, Cha Cha got an infection which we were able to treat and now everyone is in tip top shape!

It's not something I want to have happen again, however now that we've been through the worst delivery we know how to handle it.

When you're almost done pouring a batch of soap and thinking, "Oh man, the color is just right and it's pouring so smooth!"
Only to realize, I forgot the blasted Lavender essential oil! 🤦🏻‍♀️😮‍💨 Oh well, it's going to be the prettiest unscented soap yet! 😆

Cocoa Butter, Mango Butter, Avocado Oil, Grapeseed Oil....Oh MY!!

Every now and then a batch goes sideways for one reason or another, this time it was because it was a Tuesday. 😂 So, what do you do?
Put the bucket down and walk away! Then shred it and glue it together with a fresh bit of soap. While also hoping it doesn't come out looking too much like forbidden Mac & Cheese. 🙂
