This is exactly why I got into curls.

Growing up, I never had anyone actually show me how to style my curls. Most of the time they would straighten my hair in the salon and then send me home with a curl cream, expecting me to somehow figure it out on my own.

Even in beauty school, curl education was pretty minimal. We were basically handed a curl cream and a diffuser without much explanation of technique, product placement, or how different curls need different approaches.

That’s why I love getting to do this now. Teaching my clients how to actually work with their curls so they can recreate the results at home. Showing you the techniques, the routines, and the products that make sense for your specific hair.

The L’ANZA Healing Curl line makes that even better because it’s so versatile. I love helping my curly clients learn how to use each product in a way that works for them.

Every curly girl deserves to feel confident styling her own hair. And getting to help make that happen is one of my favorite parts of this job 💛

Okay but truly… the 20 questions aren’t random 😂

When I meet a new client, I want to know everything — how you wear your hair, how much time you actually spend styling it, what you’ve loved before, what didn’t work, what your goals are.

Because the magic isn’t just in the color formula or the haircut. It’s in the connection. That’s how we build trust. That’s how we build a plan. And that’s how you leave with hair that actually fits your life.

And once we have the plan? I love getting to know you beyond your hair. Your stories, your work, your hobbies, what’s going on in your world. That part never gets old.

So yes… I’ll ask the questions. And I promise it’s worth it 💛

This industry has given me so much more than just a job. It’s given me creativity, confidence, friendships, flexibility, growth, and the ability to design a life that feels aligned with who I am.

The career path I’ve had at Posh has opened doors I didn’t even know existed when I first started behind the chair. Leadership opportunities. Mentorship. Financial stability. Personal growth.
