❓❓Did you know that there are 3 types of exfoliation? They are Physical/Mechanical, Chemical, and Enzymatic. Today we will be discussing the Physical/Mechanical type.

✨Physical/Mechanical- Is a process where one uses their hands 🤲🏾paired with products or tools that have a grainy or gritty texture to them to manually slough off dead skin cells. *Think about body polishes, sugar/salt scrubs, or dry bushing here.

👉🏽Treatments preformed by estheticians, such as microdermabrasion & dermaplaning also fall into this category as well.

👉🏽At home 🏡 exfoliation is recommended 2x-3x a week as to not overdo it. This can be achieved by using a fine grade scrub, exfoliating gloves/brushes, etc.

👉🏽For a deeper exfoliation one can see their fellow esthetician and get a monthly facial featuring a microdermabrasion or dermaplaning treatment.

However, just because you have normal skin doesn’t mean you should skip out on the a skincare routine. One can maintain this skin type by following up with an esthetician and using gentle skin care products to keep your skin glowing.
