I’m spending the day as a scarecrow, doing my favorite job: all the mom things. 🧡💛🤍

Strength isn’t just about what you can lift — it’s about what you carry, what you fight for, and how you show up for yourself. I recently competed in a CrossFit competition for the first time and I was terrified… and these photos are exactly why: I had to show everyone watching potential weakness. I had to push myself publicly in something I’m not the best at.
I chose these photos because they are real, not because they are perfectly curated for a feed focused on societal norms of beauty. My faces are wicked, my form isn’t the best, my loose skin is everywhere… I’m in transition. I’m literally working through the movement. I’m struggling and pressing onward towards the finish line, regardless of how ‘ugly’ that journey may be.

5 years ago, I had weight loss surgery that saved my life. Since then, I’ve worked my butt off — in the gym, in the salon, and in my mindset — to become the healthiest version of me. There’s been lots of pauses, setbacks, and times when I’ve felt like the whole damn table has been flipped on me - but I just kept going.

Now it’s time for the next *long-awaited* chapter: skin removal surgery. It’s both a physical and emotional milestone for me — something I’ve waited for, worked for, and finally feel ready for. This isn’t about changing who I am, it’s about closing one chapter and honoring the work I’ve already done.

I’ll be having surgery on 12/26/25, and taking about a month off from the salon for recovery, and when I’m back — just know I’ll be showing up stronger than ever. 🔥
