Spent some time on my 30th bday reflecting on 30 things I’ve learned in the last three decades. These were my favorites so far.
This was such a fun practice for me that I plan to do it more often. It’s nice to remind yourself of all that you’ve grown through bc it’s easy to just focus on “the next step” without appreciating the journey along the way 💕

Hormonal birth control (mainly the Pill but others as well) deplete important nutrients that our bodies need to function properly.
Replenishing these nutrients can help you feel better and reduce severity of some common side effects if staying on HBC is the best option for you.

It’s normal (and healthy) to have some fluctuation in things like mood, energy, sociability, libido, exercise tolerance, food cravings, etc. if you operate on a monthly hormonal rhythm aka have a menstrual cycle. When we learn to embrace these changes and work with them, rather than against them, that’s where the magic happens ✨

Nothing sends panic through your system more than a late period (if you’re not looking to get pregnant) amiright, ladies?? 😅
There are some very common reasons why this happens and more than likely your cycle will go back to normal. If your cycle is always irregular, that’s a different story! 🩸
I’m currently experiencing this after the time change, dealing with a cold & increased stress level this cycle. I ovulated about 5 days later than I normally do, which I confirmed via tracking my BBT (with Tempdrop, discount LIB) so I’m not worried.

You don’t have to be “perfect” to be healthy.
I get it, sometimes taking care of ourselves feels like a full time job. Especially if you’re busy with work, school, kids or other responsibilities 🥵
But you don’t have to do 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴.
You need to focus on a few impactful habits and stay consistent. That’s where the magic happens ✨
𝗜𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗜 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼:
Sleep 5 hrs per night 😴
Obsessively track my calories and aim to eat as little as possible 📱
Do cardio for hours on end 🏃🏼♀️
Drink monster energy drinks and frappes all day long ⚡️
Eat Taco Bell 3x/week 🌮
Work at one of the world’s largest chemical factories 🧪
Stick around in terrible relationships bc I thought I didn’t deserve better 💔
Did I feel like crap? Yes. Yes I did.
And I got overwhelmed every time I tried to make changes and “get healthier” 😰
I’m sharing this so you know that I’m not perfect either and if I can create healthy habits, so can you 💪🏼
