Hey there! I’m Taylor — the face behind the curls you see on this page ✨

It’s been a while since I properly introduced myself, so I wanted to say hi to all the new faces here — and maybe share a few things my longtime clients don’t even know yet.

I’ve been a hairstylist since 2009, but helping people embrace their natural texture is what truly lights me up. I became a curl specialist because I remember how frustrating and lonely it felt growing up not knowing how to care for my own curls. I wanted to become the stylist I wish I had back then — someone who could help people feel confident, understood, and supported in their hair journey.

Over the years, I’ve invested heavily in advanced education and hands-on training, and I’m certified in:

• PsychoHairapy — training focused on the emotional connection we have with our hair and the importance of creating a safe, supportive salon experience

When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll probably find me running. I recently completed my 9th marathon and ran a personal best time — and now I’m already looking forward to chasing the next challenge. I love both road races and trail running, especially with my cattle dog Maisie tagging along on training runs.

I’m so grateful for the trust you place in me. As a solo stylist working one-on-one, I have a limited number of appointments each week—so my schedule often books out months in advance. I want to make sure you have the best chance of getting in, so here’s how booking works:

🗓 Online Booking
Appointments can be booked online up to one month in advance. If no openings are visible, it means all appointments within that window are currently booked. The booking calendar operates on a rolling one-month window, meaning a new day becomes available for booking each day. For example, today you can view the schedule through one month from today. Tomorrow, an additional day will open, and so on.

⏳ Waitlist
Joined the waitlist? You’ll be notified if a cancellation matches your request. These alerts go out to multiple people at once, so spots can go quickly. The waitlist is for cancellations only—it won’t notify you of newly opened future dates.

🌟 New Clients
All first-time appointments must be booked through the website. Openings are first come, first served.

🔁 Returning Clients
If you need a specific day or time, pre-booking is your best bet. If you didn’t book your next visit, you can text me to schedule beyond the online window: (616) 699-8117

This system helps my regulars secure their spots while still leaving room for new and waitlist clients when availability opens ✨

Currently: I’m intentionally looking to expand my work with very curly to coily textures. If that’s you, feel free to reach out—I’ll be prioritizing a small number of openings for these curl types.
