My world is centered around my family: I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Eric, for 24 years, I’m a proud mom to four grown boys (three of whom still keep me busy at home!), and our house is full of love thanks to our three beloved fur babies!

Heather doesn’t just snap photos; she apparently conjures some sort of magical force field that makes you feel powerful and unapologetically yourself. It’s basically forced leadership training, but with better outfits. The result is total CONFIDENCE!

This is the real secret of great leaders: they manage to walk into a room, fully own their presence, and make everyone else think, “I should probably try to be as put-together as they are.”

I was NOT ready for this. Before this morning I had no idea what I was going to wear. I was trying a new brand of eyelashes for the first time today (do NOT try new things under pressure!). I haven’t worn my natural hair for like 5 years! I’m not sure I know who I am without a weave or a wig! But I’m also living out this I’m in and that’s hard enough to do with a big head and then put tracks and a weave on and it’s impossible. 👒

Lucky for me, leadership isn’t about being perfectly polished and having a plan; it’s about simply showing up, embracing the chaos of your next big move, and leading with enough presence that people assume you know what you’re doing. Because let me tell you, Heather and .jross had no idea I was walking by a scarf on my way out the door and just decided, on a whim, to tie it around my waist. There was no plan!🤦🏻‍♀️ Thankfully I’m always packing the confidence and Heather knew exactly how to draw it out of me!
