This beauty came in with old brows that had become patchy, faded, and a bit uneven over time. So we gave them the makeover they deserved! 🙌

We used soft machine hair strokes in the front for a natural look, and added shading in the back to blend and cover the previous work. The result? A stunning, refreshed brow transformation! 😍✨

When clients ask for brows to be darker, thicker, or “just a little more”, it often comes from wanting a makeup-like result — but PMU heals much differently than makeup looks. Permanent makeup is designed to enhance what you naturally have — soft, subtle, and realistic. 🌿

Here’s the science behind it:

✨ PMU pigment sits under the skin, which means it will always heal softer and more muted than it looks fresh.
⚠️ If too much pigment is packed in, it can heal muddy, blocky, or uneven — like the example shown.
🌱 Brows look most dimensional where real hair grows, because hair sits on top of the skin and creates 3D texture. Tattooing too far outside that area can look unnatural and flat.

It’s so important to have realistic expectations when it comes to permanent makeup. Your artist’s goal is to create beautiful brows that age gracefully — not just look bold on day one.

This is why I use Li Pigments. I would rather have you come back a little more often with brows that still look soft, natural, and true to color than have you have brows that last forever and end up super gray over time. The longer the ink stays in the skin, the more problems you are going to have.
