25 years!!! How does that happen so fast?! May 5th 1995 was my first day as a licensed cosmetologist, working behind the chair as an apprentice. I was 19, so excited, scared and knew I wanted to be an exceptional hair artist! I wanted to travel, dress well, and be a great at what I do! I wanted to create beautiful hair for others 👏🏻

I almost didn’t want to admit I’ve been in the business this long, doubting myself on making a big deal about it!

I want to share with you some of my favorite beauty secrets other than great hair that has kept me going! I mean, you don’t stand on your feet and stay in this business without taking exceptional care of yourself!

Congratulations to Veronica Bartlett on becoming the first Session Stylist for Kevin Murphy in the Michiana Area!

To achieve this status, Veronica had to go to multiple educational classes where she learned all about all the products in the line and how to best utilize them for each client and a little bit about “backstage” work so she can bring the editorial styles back to all of us!

I just love this young man of mine! He has amazing insight, and always has starting at a very young age.

The day I introduced Jacob to my now husband Brian, that evening as I tucked Jake in for bed (age 10 at the time, 2 years ago) Jacob said to me, “well mom, you finally met your perfect match!” And I was stunned he saw that!! I knew on my first date with Brian I met my life partner... but for my son to see it, I mean WOW!!

I am so blessed to have met my husband. A man who is a fireman who serves our community, he loves hockey and stays active in two leagues, I mean, he’s kind of an intense man, who has the most GENTLE heart! (He really does, to any of his fire family who may read this!) He treats me with respect. He talks to me in a loving way yet is firm when he needs to be! He has chivalry! Opens my doors, let’s me order first, holds my hand, makes dinner when I work late or have a millions errands to run, he has my best interest at heart!! He has Jacobs best interest at heart. He has his daughters best interest at heart.

This is SO IMPORTANT for my very impressionable 12 year old son to see! He gets to witness how a husband treats his wife, with respect and love. He gets to witness a man who serves his community, a man who has core values. Brian is a family man, who also likes to have fun! Yes Jacob, your right, moms perfect match!!

When your home life is good, your work life becomes the bomb! I’m able to go to work happy! I have my family I always wanted and prayed for. I am blessed and I am thankful! 🥰
