Got to do a Zoom call with the WBTV morning show promoting my upcoming cheese class at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library next Saturday. The physical class is full, but you can join in via zoom.

Necessity is the mother of invention. I have been working on an alternative to hand sanitizer in my Thankful Goat kitchen. Since I've been making these types of products for 11 years I figured I could find something left on the shelves to make it.

So here it is:
Rexall brand Analgesic Gel and Everclear. Both are readily available across the country. Everclear can be purchased wherever your state sells liquor and the Analgesic Gel can be bought at Dollar General in the muscle rub section. I used the 8 oz gel and mixed with 6 oz of Everclear. I also used maybe half an ounce of witch hazel but it's not crucial to the recipe. Whisk it together.

The CDC stated that the use of Vodka wasn't an effective germ killer because the alcohol content wasn't high enough. They are correct, but didn't go further to say that both kinds of Everclear (grain alcohol) are high enough. It needs to be 70-80% alcohol. The Everclear pictured is 95% alcohol. It's the most expensive rubbing alcohol I've ever purchased, but as you know there isn't ANY alcohol, aloe vera gel, or hand sanitizer being restocked anywhere. You can also put it in a spray bottle and use it for a germ killer. The Analgesic gel has aloe vera gel. It also has menthol so you will get the benefit of learning not to touch your eyes, nose, or mouth because it burns!🤣

Grace Hospital, next week!!!! See you Tuesday, November 12th from 7am-4:00pm. This will be our last visit before CHRISTMAS!!!! Sale held in the atrium next to the cafeteria. Just follow your nose. This sale is open to EVERYONE, not just hospital employees. See you there!!!

The Thankful Goat is set up and ready for CHRISTMAS at Valdese Hospital today from 7-4pm! Only 50 days till Christmas. I know, I know, but still you gotta do your shopping sometime, right? Might as well get it over with. Come see us today. We will also be set up this Friday and Saturday at Caldwell Arts Council.

Next Tuesday Nov. 5th we will be at Valdese Hospital in the room next to the Cafeteria. Come shop for Christmas 7am-4pm!

Fri and Sat Nov. 8-9 we will be at the Caldwell Arts Council. Noon to 7 on Fri and 10-4 on Sat.

Nov 12th we will be at Grace Hospital in the Atrium next to the Cafeteria from 7am-4pm.
