Have you heard of lash mites? These little buggers appear when lashes aren’t washed 1-2x daily. The build up of dead/ shedding skin cells, left over make up, and oils is a lash mites paradise. What’s the difference between a fill and a larger fill/ full set? When a new full set is done we strive for 100% coverage, meaning all healthy lashes will have an extension applied. It is always recommended to receive a fill within 2-3 weeks of your previous appointment for optimal retention. After the 3 week mark retention decreases significantly due to lash grow out. Ideal retention percentage for a fill is 40-60% of the extensions still attached. In some cases there will be more and in others there will be less. In situations where there is 40% or less a larger fill or full set appointment will need to be made. Luckily with my new booking set up all cases of 40% or less is covered! By simply booking by week appointments it lets me know how long it’s been since your previous appointment and what I can expect leading up to the appointment! Remember to always schedule your fills 2-3 weeks out from your last appointment! Waiting longer can allow lashes to grow past the point of normal grow in between fills and cause lashes to twist and pull on the natural lash causing trauma and damage to the lashes! We don’t want any broken damaged lashes in this salon!
