Ms. Wheelchair Oregon 2025! My platform is based solely on creating hope and safe spaces for our most vulnerable groups! #cpwarrior

I am rapidly approaching my final week as your Ms Wheelchair Oregon 2025! Royalty is not about superiority. It’s about duty, love and strength. Not even a year after I was baptized in this very spot, I accepted a crown. A promise to use my voice for voiceless. Something I didn’t think I fully deserved. I have a hard time not being a cheerleader for others. I always thought it was a waste of time to be a cheerleader for myself. A true leader. But, the holy spirit be like, “Nah girl, you fine. In body and mind. Own it.”

Yes, ma’am! What a year it’s been!!!

All my love,
Alice

My swan song! As you know, I give up my Crown and title on the 28th of February! I had to hit you up with one more thing. Check out this amazing collaboration with ! Grants Pass is my beautiful neighborhood! So stoked at the way this came out! Thanks to local Artist, Cate Battles for recognizing a fellow change maker.

More to follow this spring as we highlight accessible trails. This is your reminder that people with disabilities belong everywhere…. in town, in nature and in the thick of things.

Access for all! 👑♿️👑♿️✨

Hey Queen! My reign as wheelchair queen of Oregonia is coming to a close! I didn’t accept this opportunity for a whole year. It felt intimidating. And when I did, it changed my whole life. Not just on an advocacy scale, but as a woman. I feel so self empowered. I want you to feel this way too! We are still excepting applications, your grace. I believe in you. ♿️👑♿️👑

A month to the day that I hand over my crown! Still in the process of making my swan song with Visit Grants Pass ! Today we went to The Glass Forge and the art museum. An article and reel should be out by the end of the month.

We are also planning on collaborating for accessible trail video for the spring. Everything I do….I do for my community. I do in love. Some people get intimidated by my accomplishments and who I am…Please don’t be intimidated. Only love here. You win. I win! 😺🎩🐛🍄♠️♦️♣️♥️

Love is all my reasons.

It’s the little moments in darkness that help light your way. Today in church, a young kid approached me using a cane. They said, “it’s nice to see somebody else using a mobility aid. It makes me feel less alone.”

I got you, kiddo! Don’t be afraid. Disabled people are royalty! A mobility aid is an extension of your throne or staff! Own it. Use it. Make no apologies. 😘

My year has been full of moments like these and I’m super glad that I decided to compete to be Ms Wheelchair Oregon 2025 ! My reign is coming to a close though next month. I’m excited to hand it off to the next cheerleader for our community.

It’s been a total honor!!!

Confessions of a wheelchair queen! Bending down and loudly proclaiming “Good for you” for a simple task. So awkward. Just say hello lol.
