Today I leave this big state of Texas with a full heart knowing why it is I came here, and why it’s now time to return home.
As a child of the 70’s, this song was an anthem of who I was to become - before I knew it. The guidance and love I’ve received from all the women I’ve met along the way, especially my elder cousins, has helped me understand this. I leave with a full and grateful heart. A child of the 70’s, I grew up with this song becoming an anthem, loved and honored by my elder cousins in NZ. It is part of my DNA and core.
Today driving to DFW for my journey back to NZ, I was compelled to turn this song up LOUD! Tears rolling down my face I reflected upon my time in this BiG state of Texas and what it has done for me and to me.
I have lived in DFW longer than I have any other place in my life.
Today I leave as the woman Helen Reddy sings of, and understand just why it’s time to go home.
For now, it is Adios Texas - but you can be sure I’ll be back 🙏🏻💝🏡

We’re doing it girl!!! So far between us we’ve lost 200lb ‼️💥 but gained each other and soo much more!
My surgery July 29th 2021, Jennifer Dec 14th 2021.. We met for breakfast a week before her surgery. 5mths post op I ate, Jennifer had a Protein shake 🤣🤣 10mths on look at us GO 💥‼️We had to meet up for a poc retake and I cooked us a super healthy dinner. This really works!
Everyone I’ve shown said we both look 4” taller too 🤣🤣🤦‍♀️ Watch out … I’m coming for your wardrobe hand me downs 💥🤣🫣🤓✅
