I the sisterhood within the silver sister community. So much support and kindness everywhere in the world. It is massive and extraordinary.
It is all about women. Women everywhere. Women of all ages. Women of all sizes. Women of all colors. There are no barriers when it comes to being a silver sister. Our hair color is our bond and being a woman is our commonality. It is a double win!
I wish the algorithm worked better on my account so I could connect to more silver sisters like so many others have. It is a bit of a bummer, but I am thankful for the ones I have connected with and hope to hook up with many more. It is a wonderful gift to see how we start and what we become and go on to do.

Good morning!! Another no makeup day🤗 It is storming out pretty good here and I will be heading out in a minute to let out and feed my 80 chickens😉. Chicken breeding and keeping is quite the handful. I have a few eggs in the incubator now. I will post my olive eggs in my stories and my newest pair of earrings I made for a third grader. I’m still contemplating a chop chop, but haven’t committed. Winter weather makes shorter hair seem all the more appealing🤔

I know today was really hard on many people. I have never allowed myself to become entangled in politics, so whatever happens, I remain centered. But many people I know and love are hurting.
Remember when we started our silver journey? It was scary. We didn’t know what we would look like, how people would see us and treat us. Some silver sisters talked about all sorts of fears and how difficult their journey was in the beginning. Do you remember?
What happened then? It started getting easier. Silver sisters supported one another on their journey and pretty much every silver sister realized that ditching the dye and embracing silver hair was actually okay. Some even found many blessings in the journey.
I want to encourage every woman here to remember that we are not defined by the world, what it thinks, what it does. The world would likely prefer we have dyed hair…spending our money and time at the hair dresser and staying brainwashed. But we have chosen to be brave and embrace a silver life.
The election results are no different. Some greys have surfaced and it seems very foreign and out of place. Down right terrifying. But we didn’t stay down. We picked ourselves up, put in a scarf or hat, braided our hair, put on some makeup and a cute outfit and we took selfies to document our silver journey. Perhaps this is an opportunity to channel that in the present circumstances. We have the power to choose what we focus our attention on. Choose wisely.
I was transplanting propagated plants today. Bare roots that have been in a box outside for weeks. And these plants are SO hearty!!! This is my prayer for the women who are💔 right now. WE were created for much!! So when you feel like you are stuck, revisit this plant, remember how your silver journey started, see your inner stem turning into a bud and blossom! Visualize. Draw it out. Write it out. Move it out. Freedom comes from within. I learned this from a man who was wrongly convicted and served a 25-year prison sentence and was found innocent during that time and got released. And from a paraplegic woman from age 17 and now in her 60’s and an artist, speaker, and song writer.

We all make mistakes, we make poor choices, we lack wisdom, we act on impulse, and we don’t seek out wise counsel before making big decisions.
But that does not have to be our end!
And if there is someone you know who has been a total failure, it is not their end either. God can do great things in the hearts of great failures.
So whether this is you or someone you know, please pray. We are in unique times where there is great need. Need for rescuing from natural disasters, need for supporting others struggling with day to day issues, and need for things only spoken in silence. God often uses great failures in times like these!
Please pray for God to do a mighty work in the heart of great failures. There are many of us out there with tons of hyper-critical people abounding. Pray for yourself and pray for others. So many people are suffering right now.
As I get older, my heart desires to pray so much more for God to do a mighty work in me and others. May we all bless one another and use whatever gifts God is giving us to better our world.
So thankful to my silver sisters for their courageous silver journey to better the lives of women around the world in our small way. May we continue to thrive and abound in so much more🙏🏼🤍🩶🙏🏼

Moving to the country has been really hard on my body. Thankfully I am educated in wellness and fitness, but even with all of my education, my body has really been struggling.😕
I’m still tending to it and want to encourage others who have a body that is battling an illness, injury, or condition…this is not the end of your story!🤗
There are things I can implement to maintain some fitness, flexibility, strength, bone density support, and stay functional. You can too!! There are trainers and physical therapists who specialize in working with various conditions, books you can read to educate yourself, and FB groups that offer support for conditions, illnesses, and injuries. Seek out solutions and get started.😁
For me, my feet are my most vulnerable body part. Walking is difficult, I have numbness, pain, burning, cramping, and inflammation. I have three conditions I am working with, so my workouts have needed to be OFF my feet. When I am on my feet, I have a special support I use to properly care for my feet while I exercise, but it really is only 1-2 exercises. It has taken me many many months to figure out the best workout mode for my challenges. And I have training in this. My workout examples provide double cushion for my feet and a workout bench as my base. This has been working great! You can see that there are lots of good exercises I can do for all parts of my body.
It takes time! Be patient with yourself, your doctors, your body. If something isn’t working, try to think outside the box😊 Be adaptable, stay positive, don’t lose focus.🙏🏼

I have been healing for the past few weeks after being kicked in the arm by one of our horses. I must have bones of steel…that’s all I have to say🥴. Thankfully it didn’t break🙌🏼 With it finally feeling more normal, I am back to building things🥳.
Here on our ranch, I build a lot of things. They aren’t fancy, but very functional and useful. Here are some recent examples of some of the things I have been building. It is one of my favorite things to do, for sure. Who knew🤷🏼‍♀️?
Have you ever built anything? If so, tell me about it. If not, I encourage you to give it a try. It is super fun! The birdbath is made of three things. A vase, and candlestick holder, and a plate. Thrift store baby!! $10. I have one more to do🐦‍⬛
You can get free wood and pallets on Marketplace and it is amazing what you can build with pallets. My gazebo is made from free wood, doors, decking planks, and pallets off of Marketplace😱. Even the table and chairs were free from MP. My little pallet garden (got the idea from someone on Tik Tok😁) has been fabulous!

My first year goal was to completely transition from blonde2grey. In order to do that, I needed to cut off 26 inches!
Am I sorry I did it this way? NO! I had a lot of fun slowly cutting my hair and adding fun photos and videos along the way. Other fabulous silver sisters here provided fun and brilliant challenges to participate in, which made my silver journey and transition a lot easier.
My hair is all grown back now and I love my jewel-toned hair. It is healthy and chemical-free. I have more pocket change and more time to dedicate to other things, like this ranch life we are building up. You never know what you will gain when you let go of something that may not be the most beneficial, economic, time saving, confidence building. Perspective is everything and having supportive women around doing the same can make a massive difference.
