Hair Tip for the Day:

Uses for Coconut Oil:

To get rid of cradle cap on baby- just massage in to head, leave on for a few minutes and gently rinse with a warm wash cloth

A tiny dab rubbed on your hands and then through hair will help get rid of friz

As an incredibly intensive natural conditioner- Rub into dry hair, put a shower cap on and leave for several hours

Can help sooth psoriasis or eczema

With apple cider vinegar as a natural treatment for lice that actually works

Can be rubbed into scalp daily to stimulate hair growth

On split ends to de-frizz

For external uses, expeller pressed or other types of refined coconut oil will work, but for internal use, an unrefined virgin coconut oil is best.

There are so many many more uses with coconut oil to better your health. These are just a very few for your hair.

Hair Tip for the day:

Shiny Soft Hair Treatment loaded with protein

In a small bowl, mash and combine:
1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Take the blow dryer to your hair to allow the heat to open the cuticle up, Apply to warm hair and allow to remain 30 minutes or longer, then shampoo and condition as usual. Amazingly silky, shiny, soft hair!

Managing Curly Hair

Salt Spray is really good for curly hair that perhaps is very soft and prone to frizz. Don’t use it every day however as it can dry out your hair!

After you’ve left your hair to dry naturally, fill a spray bottle with warm water leaving about 2-3cm at the top.
Then, take a teaspoon and add 1-3 teaspoons of salt. The more salt you add, the more textured your hair will be.
Add a few drops of coconut oil to counter-act the drying effect of the salt, the last thing you want is to dry out your hair!
Shake the container well and lightly mist your hair with the salt spray. You might want to scrunch your hair afterwards to ensure that your curls are defined well.
