Melissa is beginning a new chapter by chair renting inside Karma in the early fall, while continuing to run her own business. She brings years of experience, a true passion for hair, and a genuine love for taking care of her clients.

While we’re each our own business, we’re excited to share my space with someone who values kindness, professionalism, and making people feel beautiful.

Wedding hair isn't something I typically advertise because it's not my specialty, but every once in a while, one of my closest clients will ask me to style hair such a special day, and it's one request I'll almost always say yes to. 🤍

I did her daughters hair for her wedding day, and
there’s something really meaningful about being trusted with such an important moment. While I may spend most of my days behind the chair creating lived in blondes and extensions, it's always fun to dust off my upstyling skills and create something timeless for a big day.

With so many new faces finding Karma Beauty Room lately, I figured it was time for a little reintroduction and a few friendly reminders.

Hi, I'm Danielle! 🤍 I've been behind the chair for nearly 9 years, and after owning a larger salon in town (formerly Twisted Scissors Beauty Bar), I made the decision to bring my business home so I could continue doing what I love while also being present for my little boy.

Karma Beauty Room is a private, one on one home studio. It's intentionally different from a traditional salon.

Come exactly as you are.

Sweatpants? Perfect.
Messy bun? Love it.
No makeup? Even better.

This isn't the place where you need to impress anyone. Hair color gets messy anyway. 😉 My goal is for you to feel comfortable enough to relax, vent, laugh, cry, or sit in silence. This is a judgment-free space.

I m primarily focus in blonding, dimensional color, and lived in color. I do basic haircuts, but I don't pretend to be great at services I'm not passionate about. If something isn't my specialty, I'll happily recommend someone amazing who is.

You'll also probably hear my crazy 3 year old every now and then or be greeted by one (or both) of my two golden retrievers who think every client came to visit them. 🐾 That's just part of the Karma experience.

A couple quick reminders so we're all on the same page:

🤍 No show policy
If you're a new client and no show your appointment without communication, you will be permanently blacklisted from booking again.

For my existing clients, you already know I have a lot of grace. Life happens. Kids get sick. Cars break down. Emergencies come up. Communication goes a long way, and I will always do my best to work with you.

🤒 Please don't come sick.
If you're sick, even if you think it's "just allergies," please reschedule. If you arrive visibly ill, I may ask to end or reschedule your appointment.

This isn't because I don't care, it's because I do.

If I get sick, my son gets sick, and then I can't work, which affects every client on my schedule.

I promise to extend you that same respect. If I'm feeling under the weather, I'll always let you know ahead of time and give you the option to reschedule. If you'd still like to keep your appointment, that's completely your choice, but I believe in being upfront so everyone can make the decision that's best for them.

I've been pretty quiet lately, and honestly, life has hit my family harder in the last few weeks than I ever could have imagined.

Between multiple family emergencies, a serious medical crisis, and trying to hold everything together for the people I love, I've had to put a temporary pause on a lot of things, including spending time behind the chair.

If you've messaged me, waited patiently for a response, rescheduled, or simply checked in on me, thank you. I see you, and I appreciate you more than you know.

Right now my focus has been helping keep my family afloat (while all of us were actively drowning) during one of the most difficult seasons we've ever faced. It's been exhausting, heartbreaking, and overwhelming, but we're taking it one day at a time.
