I’ve postponed writing this because my energy and efforts have been directed elsewhere. While working full-time and being a mom, I chose to prioritize in person volunteer efforts when I was able along with other avenues of advocacy before taking the time to articulate myself and my business values here.

Now that I’m finally putting this into words, I want to make one thing very clear: I care deeply for my whole community.

That is why I got into this profession. I genuinely care about others. I dream of creating a safe, inclusive space for everyone. This is why my values matter so deeply to me. I hope the way I practice speaks clearly enough and that Divine Feminine Massage Therapy can continue to be an environment where anyone would feel safe, welcomed, respected, and cared for.

The state of this world shows up on my table every. single. day. Someone’s lived experience does not leave when they enter the room. In fact, I think in spaces such as Massage Therapy it actually presents itself more.

In my almost four years of practice I have learned that each of us is carrying something. Fear, grief, stress, uncertainty, hope, and resilience all have a physical language. They live inside each and every one of us in different ways. It is what makes us human. It is how we relate to each other.

To think we are better than anyone else or deserve any more humanity than the next person is simply untrue and fundamentally wrong.

I have always been incredibly grateful to and respected the Hispanic community of Great Bend. It has been amazing to grow up alongside you. Some of my favorite memories from my childhood are in homes that were different from my own. Thank you for sharing your culture, food, music, dances, and the beautiful essence of your families and communities.

I remain rooted in my care practice and my commitment to your sense of safety while being cared for. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me, believes in the work I do, and the space I hope to create for others.

May we continue to show up for one another and find connection through our shared humanity. Let’s take care of each other💜
