One of the biggest misconceptions about lip neutralization…

is that you’re going to end up with bright orange lips 🤡

And honestly, I understand why people think that.

A lot of the videos online show bright oranges, reds, and corals being used during the process.

And let’s be honest…

most people don’t want to walk around with orange lips while they’re trying to get to their final result 😅

The challenge isn’t getting orange into the lips.

The challenge is correcting the darker tones while still keeping everything looking soft and natural.

For this client, the goal was this 👇🏼

A soft, balanced pink that looked natural on her lips.

The color used during the process is only part of the story.

What I’m really focused on is how the lips will look once everything heals ☺️

In her case, that meant softening some of the darker, cooler tones first so we could create a more light, even foundation before adding the final color she wanted 🤍

Have you ever been super excited to try a new lip product, then you put it on and it looks completely different than it did in the tube?? 🙄

like somehow it pulls darker
or uneven
or just not the color you thought it would be 😩

It’s not the product-
it’s usually the natural color of your lips underneath

When your lips have natural pigmentation, anything you apply on top is going to show up differently 🤷🏽‍♀️

This is usually where lip neutralization comes in handy!

Lip neutralization focuses on evening everything out first by softly adjusting those deeper, cooler areas so that we can add our desired color on top and have it show up more

so when it heals,
your lip products finally look the way you expected them to 🤍

If I added a light pink on top without neutralizing first, it wouldn't even show up because of the darker color that's already there. This is why it often takes 2+ sessions to get the color you want but don't worry, it is worth the wait ☺️
