Most people judge a lotion based on the smell of it and often hold up their hand when trying. It. Fragrances are 100% synthetic made in a lab using phthalates, parabens, and other potentially harmful substances.

Neem is an amazing plant for the skin. It is a key ingredient in our sunburn relief loton. Neem is a natural anti-inflammatory that reduces swelling caused by damage and balances the skins natural abilities to heal and repair. It is said to have anti- aging propertes due to its high concentraton of vitamin E. We have had amazing results with this plant and feel blessed to bring it to you.

Why doesn’t Mongan’s Own lotions use glycerin?
Glycerin is a byproduct of food, alcohol and chemical manufacturing. It is a relatively harmless ingredient in soaps, lotions and makeup. Commonly glycerin is the majority or first ingredient of all these things. For my industry it is a dream come true being nearly free and posing some beneficial attributes, it keeps most soaps and lotions stable and free from freezing in low temperatures. Glycerin is found in nearly everything, animals, plants and oil, many products are made from the separation of glycerin from another attribute. Glycerin is extremely difficult and expensive to get rid of, making it ideal to repackage and sell in beauty products.

We feel that while glycerin is harmless in small amounts, we fear what it is doing to us being in every single beauty product we use. That aside, to make the best lotion, we should use the best ingredients, not byproducts of other industries.
