I made a paste soap using this book. The soap looks like a big o' blob. With this "blob" of soap, I can make liquid soaps. My next batch will be a bit different so I can make soap gels and jellies. A new adventure! I love making all things soapy! I will let this rest and make liquid soap using a foamer (not sure that is spelled right). I have to sequester my liquid soap a week or so, so that all the solids settle and you get this beautiful golden color that you can scent with essential oils. Keep on soapin' on.

Bennie Avtivated Soap - this is a nice soap...except I forgot to add the essential oils! It still is a nice soap...it has bentonight clay and a bit of activated charcoal in it. I am working with a new soap recipe that will be my basic soap and if you saw my last post where the soap seized on me! Well, I was afraid it was going to happen even though I soaped at a much lower temp. My oils were 87* and my lye at 92*. It worked much better and took a while to come to trace. But, that fear factor was still there and I hurried. At least I did not gave to throw it out! It is one of my favorite soaps. Will be ready in abt five weeks. Check out my web site: CheekieSoLo.comx

The first photo is my second attempt to make my Violet Storm soap using my new tall & skinny molds I bought from RileyRelics shop on Etsy. I was soooooo excited to try them that I rushed the process and soaped at too high of a temp! I knew better!! But could not wait, the end product is the second photo. When it comes to soap making I am impatient because I get so excited and have a tendency to rush things which could end in a disaster. I love my new molds!

Look at all those beautiful bars of soap...in my new soap dryer/caddy from Essential Depot. It will be replacing my bread rack that I have used for years. Bread racks are not made to hold 50+ pounds of soap! Will be adding more racks soon. Each rack will hold 100 bars of soap. I could use 3-4 more racks! @ Greeley, Colorado
