✨ It’s so much more than just hair.

Sometimes behind the chair looks glamorous — beautiful hair, big transformations, weddings, special occasions… and then there are the days that are just real life.

This little guy’s mom, Katie, has been sitting in my chair since she was in high school. I’ve had the honor of doing her hair through so many seasons of her life, including her wedding day, watching her become a mom, and now getting to do her little ones’ hair. 🥹

And today, we got this. Captured in the middle of a very exciting conversation about his favorite popsicles, parks, and ice cream…and a whole lot of Life Saver Mints (he LOVES them!).

These are some of my favorite moments behind the chair.

Because being a hairstylist has never really been just about hair for me. It’s about the relationships you build, the stories you get to be a part of, and the people you get to grow alongside.

You start with a high school girl sitting in your chair… then you’re doing her wedding hair… then suddenly you’re cutting her kids’ and husband’s hair. 🥹

It’s pretty special to realize that what started as an appointment years ago has turned into a relationship that spans generations.

That’s the part of this career that you can’t put a price on.
