Today we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country.
Your strength, sacrifice, and resilience do not begin or end with your time in uniform. Many of you continue carrying burdens that are not always visible.
At Elbow Grease, it is not just an honor to serve Veterans through the VA Community Care Network. It is a responsibility we take to heart. We understand that every story is different, every pain is real, and every Veteran deserves to be seen, heard, and cared for with respect.
We are committed to creating a space where Veterans feel supported, understood, and never rushed. Compassion is not an add-on to our care. It is the foundation.
To all who have served:
Thank you for your courage.
Thank you for your service.
Thank you for trusting us to be part of your care.
We see you. We appreciate you. We are here for you.

Happy National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day! đđŞ
Elbow Grease started as a simple ideaâhelp people feel better, move better, and live with less pain. What we didnât realize was just how much this business would shape our lives. Itâs been late nights, early mornings, and plenty of problem-solving in between. Weâve worn every hatâtherapists, receptionists, janitors, bookkeepersâbut through it all, weâve built something weâre proud of.
Running a small business isnât easy, but itâs worth it. Because every time a client walks out feeling better than when they came in, weâre reminded why we do this.
So today, weâre raising a cup of coffee (or maybe an ice pack) to all the other small business owners out there putting in the work. And to our clientsâthank you for choosing us. Your support means everything.

Ever been told to just deal with your pain? That itâs ânormalâ to feel stiff, sore, or exhausted all the time? Maybe someone even told you to be more ârealisticâ about what your body is capable of.
Yeah⌠I donât buy that. And you shouldnât either.
Your body is designed to healâit just needs the right support. Whether itâs massage, acupuncture, movement, or a mix of things, thereâs always a way forward. You donât need to settle for discomfort just because someone else has.
đš âI have not failed. Iâve just found 10,000 ways that wonât work.â â Thomas Edison
Healing isnât always a straight line, but it is possible. You deserve people who support you, who remind you that feeling better is within reachâeven if you havenât figured it out yet.
đĽ Itâs time to stop thinking small about your health.
đ Itâs time to seek out those who are thriving, not just surviving.
đ Itâs time to take that step toward feeling good again.
Your health is worth it. Youâre worth it.
Has anyone ever doubted your ability to heal? Drop a comment belowâIâd love to hear your story. đ

Ever look at someone elseâs progress and think, Why am I not there yet?
Maybe itâs a friend who swears by their workout routine, someone who âfixedâ their back pain in two visits, or a social media post about the perfect morning routine (that somehow includes an hour of yoga, a green smoothie, and total enlightenment before 6 AM).
Meanwhile, youâre over here just trying to get through the day without your body reminding you it has opinions.
I get it. When youâre working hard to feel betterârecovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or just trying to get back to yourselfâitâs frustrating when progress feels slow.
And if youâre like me, thatâs when comparison sneaks in.
But hereâs the thing: someone elseâs progress has nothing to do with yours. Their journey isnât your journey. Their timeline isnât your timeline.
So when that feeling creeps in, hereâs what I do:
1ď¸âŁ Reality check. Someone elseâs healing doesnât mean Iâm failing. The body moves at its own pace, and real progress isnât a straight line.
2ď¸âŁ Focus on what I can do today. If I have time to spiral about whatâs not happening fast enough, I have time to do one thing to support my body. Breathe. Stretch. Hydrate. Keep moving forward.
3ď¸âŁ Use it as inspiration, not a measuring stick. Seeing someone else improve means itâs possible. Thatâs fuel, not proof that Iâm behind.
4ď¸âŁ Acknowledge my own progress. Maybe Iâm not where I want to be yet, but Iâm not where I started. That matters. That counts.
And if it still feels slow? Thatâs okay. Forward is forward.
What helps you stay focused on your journey?

Spring is hereâdonât throw your back out celebrating!
That first warm breeze? That little bit of sunshine? That itch to clean out every corner of your house? Yep, itâs officially spring. And while we love a good refresh, weâve seen way too many people limp into the studio after an overenthusiastic weekend of lifting, scrubbing, and hauling.
Spring cleaning is a workout. Youâre twisting, reaching, and carrying things in ways your body probably hasnât in a while. So before you go full tornado on your house and yard, hereâs a reminder:
đ Pace yourself. You donât have to do it all today.
đ Lift smarter. Your legs are stronger than your backâuse them.
đ Take breaks. Hydrate. Stretch. Be kind to your body.
And if you overdo it? You know where to find us. Weâre here to keep you movingâwhether that means loosening up tight shoulders, working out that stubborn low back ache, or just giving you an hour to unwind after all that effort.

đ Luck, Tension, and That One Spot You Didnât Know Needed Work đ
You ever have one of those moments where you realize how lucky you are? Maybe itâs finding a $20 in an old jacket, maybe itâs hitting every green light on the way home, or maybeâitâs landing on the massage table right when you needed it most.
Luck isnât always about chance. Sometimes, itâs about making the right moves for yourselfâlike taking a deep breath, booking that appointment, and finally getting that nagging shoulder (you know the one) to relax.
This St. Patrickâs Day, weâre feeling lucky to do what we do: helping people move better, feel better, and get back to doing what they love. And if youâve been waiting for a sign to take care of yourself⌠consider this your lucky clover. đ

Why We Donât Focus on âRelaxationâ Work Anymore â and What We Do Instead
Letâs talk about something thatâs been on our minds: the idea that massage should always be about ârelaxation.â We used to think we had to lean into that approach, but the truth isâitâs a cop-out.
Hereâs why weâve moved on:
đ All work is relaxing. Whether itâs deep tissue, orthopedic, or focused rehab, when the body moves better, it feels better. Relaxation is a byproduct of good work, not the goal itself.
đ Itâs not about usâitâs about you. Your goals matter more than a generic ârelaxationâ label. Whether you need pain relief, better mobility, or post-injury recovery, thatâs where our focus belongs.
đ Results over routine. If a treatment isnât tailored to what your body actually needs, itâs just fluff. And thatâs not what weâre here for.
So, what do we do instead?
We focus on what actually helps. Whether thatâs breaking up scar tissue, restoring movement, or getting rid of that nagging pain, your needs drive the sessionânot a one-size-fits-all ârelaxationâ experience.
Because true care isnât about making things easyâitâs about making things better.

I realized I was an expert in massage therapy whenâŚ
Actually, I didnât. At least, not at first.
I never set out to be an âexpertâ in bodyworkâjust someone who could actually help people feel better. I figured if I kept learning, kept asking questions, and kept paying attention, Iâd get pretty good at it.
Turns out, thatâs exactly what happened. But it wasnât until clients started coming to me because of my knowledgeâtrusting me to help when nothing else workedâthat I realized, Oh⌠I guess I know my stuff.
The first time it really hit? A client looked at me after a session and said, âI wish Iâd found you sooner.â
If youâve got questions about pain, movement, or just feeling better in your body, Iâm here.

đą Springtime Joint Pain & the Movement We Avoid (But Need Most!)
When the seasons shift, so does our body. If your joints feel stiff or achy as the weather warms up, youâre not alone! Changes in temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure affect the tissues around our joints, making movement feel less appealingâright when we need it most.
đ¨ Why Do Joints Ache in the Spring?
⢠Fluctuating temperatures cause tissues to expand and contract, leading to stiffness.
⢠Increased humidity can affect joint lubrication, making movement feel sluggish.
⢠Sudden pressure changes (thanks, spring storms!) can trigger discomfort in sensitive joints.
đśââď¸ Why Do We Avoid Movement When We Need It Most?
When joints feel stiff or sore, itâs natural to want to rest and protect them. But gentle movement is actually one of the best ways to increase circulation, lubricate joints, and reduce stiffness.
đ What Helps?
⢠Slow, controlled movement (walking, stretching, Qi Gong, yoga)
⢠Hydration to support joint lubrication
⢠Gentle massage or self-mobilization to ease tension
⢠Consistent movement throughout the day (even small amounts help!)
When your body feels heavy and stiff, movement can feel like the last thing you want to doâbut itâs exactly what helps the most. Next time you feel that sluggish springtime stiffness, try a slow stretch, a short walk, or some deep breaths with gentle movement and see how your body responds.
