12 years ago, I got a postcard in the mail about this “Sola Salons” place. I was definitely intrigued so I decided to have a meeting with the franchise owner at the time and see it for myself. I was scared, nervous, all the feels.
But, after, something inside me said, you need to do this, change is good, don’t be afraid…
So, I walked away from what was comfortable at JCPenney Salon after 13 years and stepped into the unknown into Sola Salon Studios and opened Blown Away Studio.
I didn’t have it all figured out…
but I had a vision and a whole lot of hope.
What I didn’t fully realize at the time is that this journey wouldn’t just build a business…
it would build relationships, trust, and a community I’m so proud of. It gave me the courage to step outside my comfort zone and recognize more opportunities to say yes to.
To my loyal clients (many of you from day one), and my family—
thank you for standing by me, supporting me, and growing with me.
12 years later… I wouldn’t change a thing.
So grateful for all of you 🩵

Just a friendly reminder - if you’re sick or have any kind of “cold” or “symptom” whatsoever, 𝙋𝙇𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙀 🙏🏻 , wear a mask 😷 or reschedule.
I cannot afford to be catching people’s sickness’s and be off of work. It’s hard to reschedule a full day of clients vs. one or two. If I don’t work, I don’t get paid. No paid sick days here. It’s lost income.
Sorry to be blunt about it but it’s very frustrating.
I do appreciate each and every one of you! 💕

With it being the season of cold/flu and whatever else is going around, as a business owner I must put my foot down…
I’ve been affected many times with clients coming in sick and I am missing days of work. I do not have payed sick days, and losing income by having to stay home.
If you are sick, in the middle of a cold, your cold is just ending but you’re still coughing, blowing your nose, or any other sickness…𝙋𝙇𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙀….either call to reschedule or wear a mask. 😷 I know many dislike wearing masks and some think they don’t work. However, I would rather wear a mask for a short time than get sick or knowingly spread it around.
And though my schedule is full, it’s easier for me to reschedule 1 or 2 people than for me to get sick and have to reschedule a full day or 2 of clients, therefore having to extend my hours to fit everyone in. After you’re sick, working 10-12 hours days is not what you want to do.
Out of respect for each other, this is non negotiable. I will also be following these requirements. I will wear a mask if I feel good enough to work yet know I’m not 100%.
So please, going forward, I only ask this out of respect for me and my business and you.
If you are my client and are reading this, I’d really appreciate a response knowing you saw it. Even a 👍🏼 is great.
