I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately and I have decided I’m turning Reflexions into a Charitable LLC. I think it’s wonderful when people help others and I’ve always had it in me to help people who truly need it. I’m going a little bit of a different route with who I’ll be helping though. It’s not just going to be one group of people but it will be for whoever needs it.

I understand those with terminal illness need help, as well as those struggling with addiction or those who are homeless, etc…but I also know that sometimes the single mother needs help, or the single father, sometimes a family of 5 with two people working need help, sometimes the person with the $120,000 job needs help, sometimes $100 in groceries or paying half on a car note or paying a bill to keep the lights and water on, is needed no matter who you are or where you come from. This is 2024 and times have changed. I’m all for helping people who help themselves.

This want and desire to help with charitable contributions from my business has come from my own personal experiences. Getting up everyday and going to work- trucking through life as an ordinary person and having unfortunate circumstances come about beyond my control. Reaching out for help, but being denied for it because I had a job and people assumed I was mismanaging my money but they thought nothing of helping someone who just got themself in trouble willingly. So many hard working, honest people need help and are struggling right now for no other reason than unfortunate and unexpected things that have come about in their life.

I’m thinking I am going to put 5-10% of each service to the side, in a bank to be able to help those in need. I haven’t decided on the amount yet. I also don’t mind showing the checks written out to those who need the help if they aren’t worried about people knowing they need help. It can also be kept confidential. I just want people to know that what they contribute is legitimately going for what I say it’s going to. There will be an application process…and in addition to that, individuals can also make donations on their own to go towards serving in the community. And the great thing is, some of our clients may need help sometimes and it will come right back to them! ❤

Nadia must have said "cheese" 100 times today. Although she did well when asking her to pose, it is the candid shots that were taken- That are truly beautiful in their natural form. She was a true joy to photograph. Getting a 2 year old to sit still for over an hour can be a challenge, but she did so well and we got a lotttttttt of photos! Which one(s) are your absolute favorite???! We would love to know!
