💜 Migraine Triggers: Sometimes the Answer Is “Who Knows?” 💜

One of the most frustrating parts of living with migraines is that everyone wants to know what caused it.

“Was it stress?”

“Did you eat chocolate?”

“Did you drink enough water?”

Sometimes the answer is yes.

Sometimes the answer is no.

And sometimes the answer is, “I have absolutely no idea.”

Over the last two years, I’ve learned some of my biggest triggers:
🌧️ Weather changes
💡 Bright lights
🕯️ Strong smells
💻 Too much screen time
😴 Lack of sleep
☕ Stress
🌸 Hormone fluctuations
🖥️ Neck and shoulder tension from staring at three monitors all day

But here’s the thing most people don’t realize…

I can avoid every trigger I know about and still wake up with a migraine.

That’s what makes migraine disease so frustrating. It isn’t as simple as avoiding chocolate and drinking more water. If it were, trust me, we’d all be cured by now.

Some days it feels like walking a tightrope. You do everything “right” and still end up in a dark room with an ice pack on your head.

So if someone you love lives with migraines, remember this:

They’re adjusting their routines.
They’re taking medications.
They’re making sacrifices you may never see.

After an unexpected encounter with my driveway, I’m currently sporting a sling and wrist splint while I wait for my follow-up appointment on Friday. Thankfully nothing showed up as broken on the X-rays, but fractures and tears are still possibilities, so I’m under strict orders to take it easy.

That means live shows, demos, and even some posts may be on hold while I focus on healing.
