For those who are wondering and been with me on this journey:

Ava Pearl Honeycutt was born on December 7th. She is a perfect angel and has stolen my heart completely. 🥰

Most of you know but I felt I needed to make an official announcement: My husband and I came to the decision for me to stay home for a few years therefore I will not be returning back to work for the time being. This was not an easy decision as being a hairstylist was not just a “job” for me but something I love. I appreciate the opportunity that I was given to work with each and every one of you. I have had clients who have made such an impact in my life and I am forever grateful for the people who have come into my life by doing hair.

Not only was this a tough decision to leave my clients but it was extra hard leaving Thairapy Hair and all my coworkers. I truly believe we are one of the best groups(maybe dysfunctional at times 🤪) of women and I am deeply going to miss coming into work everyday just to see them.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to be able to stay home with Ava and will hopefully one day be back in the salon. Until then, I plan to soak up all the baby time I can and look forward to staying home with her🥰

If you need a referral for a stylist, please reach out and I will point you in the right direction. All of the ladies at Thairapy are wonderful and I know you would be happy with staying in the salon.

If I could rate this tool as a 20 out of 10 I would! I’ve seen several people talk about it so I wanted to give it a shot and boy and I’m glad I did. It has made styling my hair much easier during a time in my life where blowing out my hair takes up sooooo much energy (hello pregnancy 🤰)

This tool is good for longer bobs to long hair. I believe the barrel would be a little too big for short bobs. But I’m going to search for a similar product with a smaller barrel. This gives me the feels of a salon blowout without the salon. I recommend letting it dry naturally to about 80% dry or run the hair dryer to your head to get most of the water out before using the tool. This tool has cut my blowing drying time way down. It gives you a very smooth blowout with shine without using a straightener. You still have a lot of body and lift (which is why I’m so against a straightener as it normally takes that right out. And nobody wants flat hair!) I do highly recommend using a quality heat protectant on your hair as this tool does get hot.

Dare I say I might like this tool better than my Dyson Hair dryer??? 😳😳😳

Hi Everyone! I wanted to update and let everyone know with much consideration and the advice from my doctor, I have decided to go out on maternity leave beginning November 1st. While I didn't want to make this decision, we feel it is best for me and my baby to stop working a little earlier than expected. You all have been so patient and kind with me throughout this whole pregnancy journey and for that I have been so fortunate and grateful to you all.

This whole month I will be tapering back on the amount I will be working therefore I have turned off the ability for my clients to book online. Please feel free to text/call me for an appt and I will do my best to accommodate you! If for some reason we are able to work out a time that works for both of us, I will be referring my clients to someone I fully trust at Thairapy Hair Studio. Hello! I wanted to send a quick thank you to all of you that have been so patient with me as we have adjusted to our "new normal for now" in the salon. We have been open for almost 2 months and have successfully worked together as a whole in the salon as well as our clients to make a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. I have enjoyed seeing those who have come in to get their hair done over the past 2 months.

For those who are still uncomfortable with coming in, I totally understand and feel that you need to do whats best for you. But please know that you have greatly been missed and I am ready for you whenever you feel safe to return. Again, if you have any questions or concerns regarding how we are operating to keep you and me safe...feel free to reach out. I am happy to answer any questions or concerns.

Just wanted to give a friendly reminder to my favorite clients:

If you are not feeling well or have had an encounter with someone who was positive for covid-19, please reschedule your appointment. I will make sure to get you back in when it is safe to do so. It is my priority to keep all my clients, the other stylist as well as their clients and me safe. In order to do so, I am trusting that my clients take all the necessary precautions and steps as well. I want to make sure everyone has an enjoyable and safe experience while at the salon 💇 💇‍♀️ I care about you all very much as well as my coworkers and their clients!
