As we return to The Mirror, I've had several inquiries into what Tied & Truth actually is and what The Reflection truly provides.

Allow me to reintroduce myself🍍

My name is Shantell and I’m the owner/operator of Tied & Truth.

Tied & Truth is a waist adornment experience designed to facilitate radical self-care and deeper personal connection through the intentional tying of waist beads.

Tied and Truth is a safe and confidential space for women to slow down, be honest with themselves, and reconnect with their inner voice. We’ll have an honest conversation about where you are, what you’re carrying, and what you may be ready to release.

I will ask you to see yourself. Not to judge or critique, but to focus solely on self. For some of you, this may be the 1st time you've dared to do this in years.

The work can be raw; it can be revealing, and in the end it will heal. Sometimes sessions are confronting a hard truth. Sometimes they are silence. It’s different for every woman.

Mirror Work saved me..

In late 2021 I miscarried.

Here I was doing ceremonies, tying protection over the womb spaces of clients, walking women through their own journeys of femininity and self-love, and just like that, I was broken.

I have never wanted to be a mother. It was never apart of my agenda or purpose. My clock never ticked, it rarely came up. And then there were two lines and not one. The feeling of joy was remarkable, I had been chosen, I had been entrusted.

Nothing followed. Just pain, and blood, and tears. And a sense of loss that engulfs you, spits you out, and takes you back like a yoyo. So much grief.

But in pain, in loss, in grief, comes reflection. We learn who we are truly meant to be. I suffered this trauma and the many others in my life so that when you come to me, when you join our Collective. I can show you that your worth does not lie in what you are not, you are worthy simply because you exist.
You are beautiful, and you are us.

Good morning, Ms. Shantell. I am reaching out to give you a personal review 😉. I already knew I was going to enjoy my session yesterday but I did not expect to gain SO much. I REALLY appreciated everything you said to me and for me. Some words cut deep but I needed that so much. I appreciate your rawness and authenticity. And for saying that, "wanting validation is ok." There was a mental block I didn't know was there, that was removed when you said that. I'm so excited for my journey with my beads and can't wait to book my next session as a changed woman 😄. It is not enough to collect amulets and adornments. It is not enough to have vision boards, and half used journals. Cards and spells account for not. The work is done in the confrontation. In the pure honesty and apology to self. To collect pieces of material does not fix the brokenness, that is on you.

Friendship, real Friendship, feeds your dreams, feels your pain, sees your worth. It grows from acorn to oak tree in steadfast love. It clings to your good, selflessly absolves you of your past, and grows in your light.🖤🍍💎
