What’s playing in the salon?
Rock, indie, pop, country, reggae… I love all music. But there’s a time and place for everything. I want you to get a glimpse into my vibe while still being able to relax in my chair.

Comfort food?
Breakfast. Biscuits and gravy. Soup. Basically anything cozy.

A hobby I’ve always wanted to try?
Scuba diving.

Something on my bucket list?
Getting my scuba diving license.

Morning person or night owl?
Both, but definitely more of a morning person.

Something random people probably wouldn’t guess about me:
I can lasso lizards.

Yes. You read that correctly.

Favorite thing about my clients?
Their vibe. Their stories. Their lives. Their energy. I love how open and comfortable my clients are with me, and I’m really grateful that I’ve created a space where people can just be themselves.

GET TO KNOW YOUR STYLIST: Q&A Part 1

Since you spend a decent amount of time sitting in my chair, I figured you should probably know a little more about the person holding the foils.

Why did you become a hairstylist?
Two reasons: I needed a career where I could be creative, and I needed to be on my feet and moving. The thought of someone else telling me my schedule and working a traditional 8–5 made me want to crawl out of my skin. I wanted the freedom to create my own schedule and build a career that actually felt like me.

How long have you been doing hair?
I went to cosmetology school during COVID, graduated in 2022, took my state boards, and started booth renting just a couple weeks later. I did hair in California for about a year, then packed up and moved across the country. I’ve been in South Carolina since September 2023 and have been booth renting ever since.

Favorite service?
Anything where we absolutely nail the inspiration photo. Give me a big transformation and I’m happy. I love the drama of it. But honestly, one of my favorite things is when a client says, “You know what? Just do your thing.” That level of trust means everything.

Hair trend I’ll never get tired of?
BLONDING. Lived-in brunette, platinum blonde, balayage, foiling… I love it all. I just love lifting hair because it means I get to tone it at the end.

Hair trend I wish would disappear?
Honestly? None. Hair is self-expression and creativity. If you love it, I’m not taking it away from you.

Biggest hair pet peeve?
Drugstore shampoo and conditioner. And not using heat protectant.

Please don’t.
