For nearly a decade, almost every Saturday morning, Dan Barber chair was reserved for Matt Hawley. He started out as his client, but quickly became his friend. What started out as a haircut became so much more. He looked forward to the conversations, stories, and laughs we would share. He followed him when he changed shops and was his most regular client.

Judge Matthew Hawley served as the chief judge of the Greenville Municipal Court for 30 years and was set to officially retire on June 30th. Sadly, he passed away on Friday, June 26th.

Dan's chair feels a little emptier today, but he truly thankful for the time, the trust, and the friendship we shared.

Mrs. Hawley, We are so sorry for your loss. He was a great man. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Matt, rest easy, my friend. You will be missed.
