Busy Day at The Haircut Place on Its Final Day in Operation Chase Cumberland, a member of the Greenwich High School class of 2027, said he had been coming to The Haircut Place since he was big enough to sit up in the antique motorcycle for a haircut.

The Haircut Place will be temporarily closing for two weeks starting January 31th.

John is having surgery to remove cancerous tissue, and is advised to take that time to recover. Wish him luck.

John will be restarting on Wednesday, November 1st. We hope to get online booking up by then; however,. our number will remain is the same.

The new address is 148 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich CT 06870. Again, the number will be the same - we are forwarding calls to his phone.

I apologize for the late update. Our google page, and website should reflect the new times and address, it will be corrected here as well. The extreme amount of moving and changes in a short period of time has been taxing.

The Haircut Place Update

The Haircut Place will be officially closing after October 21st.
We did our best to secure another location after our new landlord doubled our rent; however, were unable to accomplish this.

This barbershop has been a lynchpin of the community since 1958. And ever since John took over in 1999, we have done our absolute best to render service, and dedication to our loyal clientele.

John is likely moving to another shop in town where he'll work independently as his own boss. We tried our best to make things work, but the new Landlord increased our rent twice fold. It was not feasible to continue.

We will be creating a GoFundMe page to help with moving expenses and helping the transition for everyone.

Fred Camilo, the first selectman of Greenwich, has reversed the mask mandate. Now if you’re vaccinated, it is up to you whether you’d like to wear a mask. Also, if a staff member isn’t wearing one and you’d prefer they did, please say so!

Everyone at The Haircut Place is vaccinated, but we strive to provide a sense of safety and security. We want your visit to be exceptional.

Haircut by Linda! He was thrilled with how it turned out.

As a result of the First Selectman of Greenwich, Fred Camillo, Greenwich is reintroducing the mask mandate effective Monday August 30th.

The Haircut Place will be reintroducing the mask mandate for both employees and clients to stay in compliance with the Town's decision. Vaccination status does not exempt individuals.
