Shaded brows just means that your brow tattoo is colored in like if you were to color your brows in with makeup. Instead of tattooing Hairstrokes like patterns. There are so many names when it comes to Shaded brows. I call it Ombre powder brows because I like to give it an Ombre look with the soft gradient little dots like powder. I’ve seen artists call it sand brows, or magic brows, and nano brows because it’s done with a small nano needle. I know it’s confusing sometimes so expect me to always reach out to you before your appointment with me to be sure we’re on the same page.

Tips on picking the right artists for your brows:

-Make sure the artists is posting videos and pictures of the same client. This proves that they aren’t stealing other artists pictures for their profile.

-They should be reaching out to you before your appointment to make sure you’re not pregnancy, breastfeeding, or on any meds.

-Makes sure you don’t have any questions about your before care sheet.

-Makes sure your know what to do for your aftercare.

-Making sure you’re doing proper paperwork at your appointment.

-Location should be properly licensed.

Yea I know this is an unpopular opinion amongst PMU artists but Touch-up appointments aren’t required in my chair for everybody. Yes it’s nice to always see my healed work come back for pictures but there were times I had to turn people away because it healed with 100% retention. Yes they can make your brows last longer but there were times I was afraid to make them darker at the touch-up knowing that they liked a softer look. In reality, only about 10 percent of my clients didn’t need touched up. Color boost appointments are always available after 1+ years. Most of my clients brows can last 2+ years after the initial appointment and the touch-up and that’s mainly when I see them come back. ❤️

This is the original MICROBLADING. It is literally done with mini needles that slits like a blade. Although this procedure is not for all skin types, I still love the results. Nano brows has gotten so popular, I forget that lots of new artists now has never picked up a micro blade before. PMU brows has advanced so much, it’s just called so many different things now. But the word “Microblading” is now used as a category for any type of PMU brows. Nano brows are being called realism brows or nano blading. And shaded brows are also called nanoshading or Ombre powder brows. That’s why as an artist, it’s really important to understand that not all of my guests understand the terms and I rather asked thing like, do you want them to look like Hairstrokes or shaded in like Make-up. Sometimes I’ll even have them send me an inspo pic just to be sure we’re on the same page. .
