Are you an avid reader? Have you ever read through a bunch of books without seeing yourself anywhere in the storyline?

That's exactly what Shannon Singleton and her son, Jaylen, experienced. Inspired by this conundrum, Shannon decided to be the change she wanted to see by creating a book series about her sons called Jaylen & Ty's Adventures: Based on True Stories. These tales depict childhood adventures from their perspective.

After writing the books, Shannon, unsure of how to go about publishing, found inspiration in the scripture Ezra 10:4: "Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it." This led her to pursue self-publishing, and I Rise Publishing was born.

Shannon Singleton is my sister-in-love, and I am incredibly proud and inspired by her drive to be the change she wanted to see, and to create a way to help others do the same. She encourages others to share their stories from their unique perspectives. The Jaylen & Ty's Adventures series is set to include 25 books, with three already released. These tales of fun, curiosity, and mischief from often-missing perspectives are refreshing, to say the least. Take your kids' storytime to another level of imagination.
