Here is a recent article from EWG.com - Environmental Working Group. The information in this article is one of the reasons I have made the change from traditional hair color to hair color made with safe organic, vegan ingredients. The color I use now is free of all of the traditional toxic chemicals and full of Organic herbs and ingredients. The 2 companies I purchase from are from Australia and Spain. Unfortunately, the USA has lower standards than the EU and other counties so I buy my beauty products produced outside of the country. On a personal note, as a hair stylist and colorist of 39 years I believe using these toxic chemicals have caused me my own health issues. I’ve found I must discontinue exposing myself to these dangerous chemicals. I’m grateful to have safe alternatives from harsh chemical services for my clients, myself and the environment.
