I recently took a course that teaches vendors how to maximize wedding shows. It has been such a learning experience, not only in what to do for the event, the booth etc. But learning how to communicate OUR VALUE.

This has been so essential in putting our positives upfront versus me getting tempted to compare myself to colleagues and other artist in the area.

SERIES: Preparing for the PORTLAND WEDDING SHOW ! Part 1 .

Let me Introduce myself:

My name is Rene Gamet. I’ve been a licensed hairstylist and makeup artist for over 20 years. I never feel like I’m old enough to say those numbers. Because I like to say -young forever, baby! I hail from the beautiful island of Kauai, where a piece of my heart will always remain.

It’s hard to say whether I have a passion for the beauty industry or just a passion for perfection.
My brain loves to solve a puzzle & improve something. My heart, eyes, and ears love to feast on the beauty that already exists.

My interests include Jiu Jutsu, martial arts, singing, dancing, writing, drawing, cooking, dining on delicious food & desserts, adventuring, musicals, romantasy books, and making people laugh!

If we’re not trying to laugh to cope with our problems, what are we even doing?

These days you can find me waddling around the salon . Finishing up my last two months before Baby # 3 comes in April. Our 2 girls (9 & 5) very excited to meet their long awaited baby brother. So is my husband James to whom he will be named after. J.A.G

I am very excited to step into this new chapter where I am dedicating most of my time to my family first. And then all things wedding Hair And Makeup.
