*** Shipping Update ****

As many of you know I'm normally a one man show and make each dip fresh per order. In anticipation of the sale, I had made a few dips up but unfortunately it was no where near enough. I have called in a friend to help me get through this sale. (Shout out to Katie Denise Jones who has went above and beyond!)

Over the last week I have worked everyday to fill orders. Denise traveled to my house on Friday to help. Saturday and Sunday were 15 hour days for us. We are down to about 200ish jars out of 1300 total to fill and will work late tonight and tomorrow. I am working my full time job during the day and Georgia Dips at night. Denise is working Georgia Dips during the day but will be returning home which is about 2 hours from me tomorrow so help will be limited after that.

I have some orders already sent out and more getting ready to go out tomorrow. In reality it may be Saturday before we have everything at the post office. I know this is about 4 business days longer than our quoted shipping time and I apologize for this. I sincerely appreciate everyone's patience. If you have any specific questions about your orders, please let me know.

Again...thank you all for your love and support.

P.S. Nerd Nails completely saved the day and hooked me up with enough powder to finish my orders when I ran out sooner than my shipment could arrive. Please show Jenna Greer some love because that is truly the definition of one small business helping another rather than letting them struggle. Also shout out to Zebra Glitter & Nails Company, LLC and Bridgette Hudyk for getting my order out to me! Both of these owners have been awesome in supporting my business. ❤️❤️

Hello dipping friends....

Please be patient with me as this is a long and emotional post.

I started Georgia Dips a little over 2 and a half years ago when I was introduced to dip nails by a friend who taught me how to mix. I started this business because it was fun and I enjoyed making dips and sharing them. Soon after opening, the pandemic hit and everyone was doing their nails at home and business was booming. It was a rush to be so busy and having tons of orders but it was a ton of work too. I was a newly single mom with a toddler and a teenager and a full time job on top of Georgia Dips. Still, I pushed ahead. I gave up weekends, nights, and honestly even called into work a time or two to get orders done.

Year 1 came and went and we pushed into year 2 still going strong. I made so many friends and nail sisters and had so much fun making new dips that I couldn't imagine giving up this little business. As year 2 pushed on, business slowed down but still we kept creating and moving forward. Of course I was bummed, as any owner would be, but pushed on because at the end of the day it wasn't about the money. We went into the holiday season with so much planned (Spooky Surprise Boxes and 12 Days of Christmas) but I was mentally struggling and having a hard time keeping motivated. Between kids and work and Georgia Dips I was completely overwhelmed.

January hit and I was knocked on my butt by covid and pneumonia. You all stuck with me and showed so much love and support while I took a break from making dips and struggled to keep up with orders. A job change gave me hope that I would have more free time but a second round of pneumonia knocked me back down in March. I really started struggling with business at this time because I was losing my drive and honestly I was just tired. As you all know, I had surgery in June and it's been up and down since then. My energy levels are low and I've struggled with being creative. I've reached the point where I feel like I've let down many of my customers because I've not released a lot of new items and my processing times have slowed down. I've also been reflecting on life and feel like I'm missing so much with my kids by working so much.

I've stressed and cried and prayed and really thought about what should happen now and it's with great sadness that I realize closing Georgia Dips is what's best. I realize now that it's time for me to slow down and focus on me, my health, and my kids. I'm heartbroken to walk away but know it's needed. I broke the news to Victoria Pierce and Kimberly Coffin yesterday and cried like a baby. I talked it out with Charlsa Denton-Smith today and cried a little more. Thankfully all three of these ladies have shown so much support in me doing what I need to do and I am so thankful for that.

Not only am I thankful for their love and support but I'm also thankful for each and every customer whether you placed 1 order or 30. Even if you didn't order and just commented or liked our photos, I still appreciate you! I feel like through our lives and chats that we have gotten to know each other for more than nails and I love that. When thinking all of this through, I did decide that I would keep this group open and make it a general nail group. I would love to see your nails, chat about life, and help other small businesses grow! I may even break out a Coffee and Creations session every now and then as I do plan to continue doing my own nails.

So...what happens now? I've canceled and emailed all quarterly subscription customers. Part of our sub was a discount code for the quarter and I don't think it's fair to offer an item I know can't be fulfilled. I've emailed Dipping Tree subscribers to let them know we will finish out the year as planned. As far as the shop...I'll be having a going out of business sale from September 30th until October 2nd where everything in the shop will be half off. I've loaded the shop with a ton of retired listing including some of the birthdays trios. All of these items will be on sale as well. I do have some new, unreleased items that will be added as well and included in the sale. After the sale, I'll focus on transitioning the group into a general nail group and may even ask for your help in naming it and setting up guidelines and rules.

As always I'll be here for any questions you all may have. I want to say again that Georgia Dips would not what it is without all of you so THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

❤️❤️❤️
