Job Posting – Leather Tannery Trainee

American Tanning and Leather, LLC – Griffin, GA

We are seeking a reliable, motivated individual to join our team and be trained in the art of tanning, coloring, and finishing leather.

This is a hands-on position with excellent benefits and long-term career potential.

Requirements
-High school diploma required (GED not accepted).
-Strong math skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
-Good vision and accurate color recognition.
-Ability to stand on your feet throughout the workday.
-Flexibility to move between tasks quickly.
-Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. without assistance.
-No history of injuries that could affect job performance.
-Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected.

Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary
Discussed at interview

Annual performance reviews and raises based on merit

This is a great long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has an eye for detail, and values reliable weekday hours.

This role could be a perfect fit if you’ve worked as a:
Tattoo artist
Auto body repair tech
Carpenter or woodworker
Or if you simply enjoy creative, hands-on work that requires focus and craftsmanship

What we’re looking for:
Strong color vision and attention to detail
Creativity and pride in your work
Good basic math skills
Someone with good organization skills and takes care of their work space.
Comfortable working on your feet all day
A self-starter mindset—someone eager to learn and grow.
Someone with a good attitude and works well with others or is comfortable working solo on focused projects
Someone with good values that will love working in a family business

What isn’t required:
A college diploma
Working on weekends or nights
Managing other employees
Being a “just a number” in a corporation.
