COVID-19’s incubation time is 1️⃣4️⃣ days with a median time of 4-5 days from exposure to symptom onset.

97% of persons with COVID-19 who develop symptoms will do so within 11.5 days of infection.

As of now we are still in Phase 2 status and are currently seeing clients. We will keep you posted if things change.

COVID ALERT – TOWN OF GROTON UNDER A RED ALERT
October 22, 2020

The Connecticut Department of Public Health notified the Town of Groton today that we are now under the Red Alert designation for COVID meaning there are at least 15 cases per 100,000 people per day over a two week period. We had previously been under an orange alert. The following are directions for Town’s under a Red Alert:

• For Individuals: Limit trips outside home, avoid gatherings with non-family members.

• For Communities: Cancel public events and limit community gathering points.

• Organized Group Activities: Postpone all indoor activities; Postpone outdoor activities where mask wearing or social distancing cannot be maintained.

• Business & Sector Rules: The Town’s Chief Executive Officer (Town Manager) can make the decision to roll back economic activities from a Phase 3 to Phase 2.

At this time, the Town will be stopping indoor activities at its Senior Center and Community Center and will not be allowing close contact sports on its athletic fields until the Town is no longer under a Red Alert.

Additionally, the Mystic 5k road race scheduled for this Saturday (October 24) has been cancelled.

Ledge Light Health Department has indicated that we are seeing issues with spreading at large gatherings including sports practices/games. Please be extra vigilant on your mask wearing and try avoid any group activities. We need to pull together to ensure we get back to lower numbers of infected. Staying safe and vigilant is also the best way to support our local businesses by helping to ensure the State does not have to return to earlier restrictions.
