It’s Hispanic Heritage Month, and I just want to say how proud I am to be a Latina working at THE MUR SALON. 🤎✨

Growing up in a multicultural family and community taught me early on that beauty doesn’t come in one texture, one color, or one type of hair.

I was the girl growing up hearing that my hair was “difficult.” Too thick, too curly, too much. And honestly, that stayed with me.

That’s one of the reasons I love what I do now. I understand what it feels like to sit in a stylist’s chair and wonder if they’ll actually know how to work with your hair.

The photos I’m sharing are of myself and my family because I think they’re a perfect example of just how different we can all be. Different skin tones, different features, different textures, different hair — and we’re all beautiful in our own way.

I’m proud of my culture, proud of my family, and proud of all the different cultures I’ve grown up surrounded by.

So when you sit in my chair, know that you’re welcome exactly as you are. Your texture, your culture, your individuality — all of it is safe with me. 🤎
